Hello everyone, welcome to the 152nd edition of Afri-Tunes as you already know I'm coderaikiri and I'll be doing a song cover titled slave by the renowned reggae artist Lucky Dube.
Growing up in a house with a dad who loves reggae with his favourite artiste being lucky Dube subjected me into listening to the song as a child and now that I am older I have come to adore his works even more.
This very song 'Slave' is actually my favorite of his entire catalog. It tells the story of a man who is addicted to alcohol to the extent he is even a slave to it. Different religious pastors have warned him to abstain from it but his friends keep persuading him to continue with that lifestyle as leaving it makes him a fool. It got so bad that his wife is even scared of him coming home because whenever he is drunk which is almost all the time, he beats her up.
