Brand new week, brand new day that's definitely going to be filled with positivity. Greetings everyone welcome to another edition of Afritunes,I am @coderaikiri and for my entry this week I'll be singing a song song from lucky Dube titled together as one.
Dad was a massive lover of reggae with lucky Dube being his favourite artiste of this genre and that also influenced a lot of members from his family (myself included). One thing I loved the singer for was the fact that all his songs always convey deep meaningful messages and this song is no different. Voicing out his concerns about the state of South Africa back then where the Whites were segregated the blacks and gave them unfair treatments. The song encourages unity as the only method we can attain true freedom directly speaking about the harsh conditions of apartheid. He even uses cats and dogs metaphorically stating that they have forgiven each other so they can also do the impossible as well.
