Three Tune Tuesday

Music is one of my favorite things to relax to, as many people can also probably have similar experiences. My musical tastes are incredibly diverse, I think. I can enjoy some really heavy gangster rap (not the radio trash), some metal, country, classical and so many others in between.

One of the coolest things about music is that all of the different kinds have their unique qualities to them and reasons that we listen to them. Some are more chill, others are upbeat and getting you motivated.

There is a post series Three Tune Tuesday by a bunch of people but it's all organized by @ablaze, one of the coolest dudes from Ireland around!

This Week's Choice: Indie Rock

I think that I will try to confine the post to be 2 or 3 songs of the particular topic to keep it shorter and so that people can listen to one or all of the songs without taking too much time!

Death Cab for Cutie! They are an awesome band and I need to get updated on their stuff but here are some of my favorites of theirs!

Way more important to me though, is sharing a song with me! It doesn't have to be anything related at all to what my choices are but I would love for you to share a song or two with me!

I've never heard of this band before, but they sound pretty cool.

I'm the same man, I love all kinds of music and especially as I've gotten older my taste has matured like a fine milk.

Here's one you may or may not like, High-Vis, I actually met the guitar player of these guys in the airport in London. We got talking about music, me and the lads going back to Ireland from playing a gig in London, and he was coming back from playing a gig in Ibizia.

He gave me two EPs, this one and another, and all I had to give him was a badge haha, they're really good though; post-punk sound.

I've been happily watching them grow over the last couple of years.

That's an awesome story dude, I would love to run into someone like that haha. Local music is awesome! I'm gonna check this track out in a few, got a couple tasks on my computer to wrap up, having a good tune in the background is a treat!

Edit-- I listened to the track and it was not bad! It definitely had 90's punk rock vibe hahaha. Not a lot in my scene but I do appreciate it, reminds me of some of my friends when we used to skateboard were wicked into that stuff, skinny jeans and all. At least brought me back good memories of my friend Matt!

Death cab - one of my favorite Indie bands for sure! I've got a couple more weeks of similar tracks like this before I switch it up and do like heavy metal or something LOL I love having a wide variety of musical tastes! It's great, I've got a bunch of different stations I listen to while at work to help the day go by.

How's the little one doing man?

He's doing great man, we got a video of him standing up on his own... he held it for a few seconds and then fell but he's getting there. We put the Rocky music to it and sent it into a few family chats haha

My music taste has grown a lot, I first got into rap. And Ice-T got me into heavier stuff, because I used to listen to him and then heard Body Count, and from there got into a bunch of other stuff. Mainly metal, but then in my teens I got into more Punk stuff.

Ah, Death Cab For Cutie, brings back so many memories 🥺 I have always found the lead singer to have a very soft, unique voice. My favorite is Brothers On A Hotel Bed.

Thank you for sharing!

(And I can't believe I never bothered to search for a Music group! 😄 Whatta great find!)

Yeah for sure!! Me too. I loved his quick one-hit-wonder the Postal Service and think it's great that they did one solid album and stopped. Leave the beauty of it and don't try to creat something else.

His voice is what I absolutely enjoy as well, and it seems like it’s not auto-tune bullshit like most of the others. It’s certainly unique though!!

I figured you'd like some Indie! I'll have to give this one a listen to, I’m not familiar with the name.

There’s so much on hive, but it’s hard to explore them all hahaha. One step at a time! :D

Yeah! I love the band but that songs my favorite for sure! Such a great track. Goes real easy, especially the album version. The radio one is trimmed down a lot, gets rid of the great jam in the beginning.

Glad you liked it!
