Old blue beast turned 20.
It was a 2006 with 1.65 million miles. So the old girl was slap worn out. They are rebuildable. But expensive to do so when everything is that old and used up. Plus the down time to rebuild is killer.
Damn, you know I figured the big rigs got up in miles like that but you don't realize it until someone like you tells me how many. That's crazy!
For sure the time and effort to rebuild it is always the killer. It can be done, but it's not like we have a bunch of extra time on our hands lol
You finish the trip?
Some of them out there have been rebuilt two/three times over. All the majors replaced. Engine Trans, and Drives. Pushing 4-5 million miles.
Either way you go is expensive. But no one gives credit on older trucks.
