This Wednesday was an extremely tiring day. I had to stay awake at dawn to be able to carry out my task...

On July 9, the choral music festival "Santa Clara Sings" began in the city of Santa Clara. The choir to which I belong, Vox Lucis, has been wanting to participate since last year, however in 2023 we had the impediment that we found out with little notice and therefore we could not finish the arrangements to be able to go.

This year we had time to manage everything and even so, for a moment we came to think that we would not get here. Luckily, everything was resolved at the last hour.In order to get there we were waiting for the transport from the early hours of the morning. Something that I really liked was that before starting the trajectory, the whole choir prayed to the beat of our director. At that time I could feel a real connection with all my colleagues.

During the trip I tried to take photos of the sunrise, however due to the movement of the bus the photos came out moved.

When I got tired of so many failed attempts to photograph nature, I took a couple of selfies with my travel companion.

Thank God we were able to arrive safely and we are enjoying the festival. All the stress we had is now rewarded with this moment. This experience has turned out to be a confirmation that we must always have faith and never give up when we have a goal.

Este miércoles fue un día extremadamente agotador. Desde la madrugada tuve que estar despierto para poder llevar a cabo mi cometido...

El día 9 de julio comenzó en la ciudad de Santa Clara el festival de música coral "Santa Clara Canta". El coro al que pertenezco, Vox Lucis, desde el año pasado estaba deseando participar, sin embargo en 2023 tuvimos el impedimento de que nos enteramos con poco tiempo de antelación y por tanto no conseguimos terminar las gestiones para poder ir.

Este año tuvimos tiempo para gestionarlo todo y aún así, por un momento llegamos a pensar que no llegaríamos hasta acá. Por suerte, a la última hora todo se resolvió. Para poder llegar hasta allá estuvimos esperando el transporte desde horas de la madrugada. Algo que me gustó mucho fue que antes de comenzar la trayectoria, todo el coro rezó al compás de nuestro director. En ese entonces pude sentir una verdadera conexión con todos mis compañeros.

Durante el trayecto traté de tomar fotos del amanecer, sin embargo por el movimiento de la guagua las fotos salieron movidas.

Cuando me cansé de tantos intentos fallidos de fotografiar la naturaleza, me tomé un par de selfies con mi compañera de viaje.

Gracias a Dios hemos podido llegar sanos y salvos y nos encontramos disfrutando del festival. Todo el estrés que tuvimos ahora es recompensado con este momento. Ha resultado esta experiencia una confirmación de que siempre debemos tener fe y nunca rendirnos cuando tenemos un objetivo.
