My wonderful Christmas present
Christmas is over now. What is the best gift you have received? A couple of friends, mutual witnesses at their wedding, gave me something that I have always wanted but never bought for some practical reasons: little space in the house, a son who is particularly sensitive to the destruction of technological objects (most recently the Sony 43 TV ' LED, my wedding gift).
Yet a couple of years ago I bought a Pink Floyd LP, Shine on your crazy Diamond, a collector's album but above all an example of musical excellence now lost, nothing similar can ever be reproduced, especially in these decades. .. but maybe I'm going on too long...
I received a beautiful LP player as a gift, an object dear to me because my father owned one and when I was little I listened to LPs by QUEEN and Dire Straits, a truly incredible musical heritage. Unfortunately, today's music seems too frivolous and poor in comparison.
The convenience of this LP player is in its shape, a small suitcase, inside, not visible, there is the speaker which works discreetly. His is clean but tends to get ruined if I increase the volume almost to its maximum capacity. But the player has connectors to connect professional audio speakers or even Bluetooth, although speakers are acceptable if you want to listen to music at a medium volume.
I like the ability to close the suitcase and store it anywhere, especially far away from my son's hands. I have at least ten LPs to buy in my Amazon cart, the time has finally come to increase my personal collection. In reality I'm also thinking of buying a piece of furniture to place the LPs, I've already seen something at Ikea but I'll check and update you on it.
A draft of the LPs that are on the purchase list:
- Black Album - Metallica
- Scenes From A Memory - Dream Theater
- The Dark Side Of the Moon - Pink Floyd
- Use You Illusion - Guns'n Roses
- Ten - Pearl Jam
In reality there are still many others, but these discs have priority. The passion for music is wonderful and now I'm finally returning to collecting records after at least a decade, since CDs inevitably began their decline.
That’s an awesome present you got! I haven’t listened to vinyl in so long! I also have a son who tends to destroy things hahah so I won’t get one yet. Hopefully the player lasts! Just keep it segregated!
Fantastic gift, doesn't take up much space and is also up to date has Bluetooth, my neighbor has one but nothing sophisticated is like the 80's and still works 😅 I miss those moments where you stood listening to good music, my adolescence was spent listening to Guns'n Roses, Roxette, Bon Jovi, The Corrs and a long list of excellent bands.
Nice!
