They say that's why Londoners are so depressed. Most are overworked, overpay for everything and he get no sunshine. We are so lucky here.

December and January are awful for wind. We really get the best weather from now till the end of November and then again in February. It's getting colder earlier now though. My birthday is on the 2nd of March and for the last two or three years, it's been uncharacteristically cold.

I would be happy in cold if the sun shines brightly, sun makes the world of difference to our mental stability.

Majority in the home celebrate birthdays in January and February, too hot to celebrate much at all!

absolutely! I find prepping for Christmas so hard because we're making very winter-themed dishes and standing in a hot kitchen for at least 3 days. I want to do something different this year. But I'm still making trifle!!

Christmas treat was always peppermint crisp tart, hot dinners are not something to do over Christmas ever....

You know, I've heard a lot of people talk about peppermint crisp tart at Christmas. That sounds lovely actually.

It was never a tradition in my family. We always had trifle. And Gran was very heavy-handed with the sherry 😜I think the idea was to knock the kids out with dessert so the adults could enjoy the rest of the evening together! Lol. I love making trifle and experimenting with different liqueurs, sponges, and fillings.

I might just try a peppermint crisp tart this year though. I'll keep my eye out for a good recipe.
