Since my last gorgeous blue hair post two months ago 💙💙Claire's Makeup (and Hair) journey: Part 3 - Singing the Blues So Much My Hair Went Blue! 💙💙, I'm afraid that regrowth started coming in and the blue kinda turned into a sort of greenish colour... like I'd dipped it into a pond 🐸

@jasperdick and I had our very 1st gig at the prestigious Alma Café, and when I found out that half the audience would be made up of people I knew in my teens, I decided it was only appropriate to dig around and see if I could find that inner goth!

I'm afraid, I can only wear my goth clothes as socks now (I was freaking tiny then), but I do still know how to channel that inner "Addams" of mine.

I usually box-dye my hair, but I've spoilt myself the last two times. It really is such a luxury to have your hair done by a professional, and it is an even bigger bonus when that professional is also your friend! Also, I murdered my hair last year, and I really needed help getting it back to a healthy state.

This time we decided to start toning out the platinum blonde as I prepare for surgery recovery for my knees. I don't want hideous regrowth.

So, we decided do go with some low lights and highlights, and then just for fun, why now add some violet for the show!! The violet will wash out and can probably be cut off in a few months, but she matched my natural colour beautifully with the lowlights, so aside from a trim here and there, I'll probably try to grow out my natural colour: which also means I'll have to face the greys 🙈🤫 hopefully they're not too many (my sons are REALLY good at counting them when they do show 🙄). She also left in a bit of the platinum blonde and what was left of the blue/ green - and the result was stunning! I ended up with a bit of mermaid hair going on!

I felt absolutely spoilt and just gorgeous and went on to have an absolutely rocking night.
