A Whale of a Time - Our 1st Family holiday in Betty's Bay!!

Whoops! Time has flown. It feels like an eternity ago when we took these pictures and spend such a special time together, for the 1st time, on holiday as a family.

Yes, it's only been a few weeks... just over a month.... but so much happened when we got back that it's been impossible to catch my breath.

I think we'll leave that for a "Mommy's Mental Health" post though .......

Back to the utter joy, happiness and incredible relaxation of our holiday on the East Coast, here are some of my favourite moments: from eating brie and blue cheese (yes, it was a two in one, omg) and drinking pinotage in front of the fire, to beach walks, to bonding with my Autoharp, to star gazing, adventuring, meeting up with friends and waking up to that ocean view EVERY morning.

If only I could turn back time....

but I can't.

Hopefully, @zakludick and I will be going back at the beginning of July.. but this time: just the two of us. Hold thumbs!!

If you ever get the chance, just do it. Go hire a little cabin and just bask in the beauty that is the East Coast. Betty's bay is only one of 100's of hidden gems along the way. We also visited Kleinmond and Fisherhaven! We didn't make it to Hermanus this time, but we'll definitely go next time! The list of little towns is endless, the people so warm and inviting, and the water and beaches are just spectacular! ❤️

Kleinmond and the other coastal towns are awesome! I always go there (my family has a small house there) as much as I can. Just to get away from the buzz of working life. Some of the best ice cream and fish and chips in Kleinmond harbour! Enjoy!

Oh my gosh! You are such a lucky fish! We're definitely thinking about one day... Someday buying a little holiday property along the coast. Do you guys rent it out when you're not using it?

That is the dream right? Braai-ing every night, drinking some wine and enjoying life. We can dream! Not at the moment. There is lots of work that needs to be done with the small house. It has seen better days!
