Holla My OpenMic family, it’s so nice to be back here again for this week's amazing theme given by our awesome spotlight artiste @wizj and trust me this theme made me reflect on how much i love nature and mother Earth - The beautiful scenes and natural things that makes life so colorful.

For this week’s theme titled IN LOVE WITH NATURE AND MOTHER EARTH, I bring this popular hymn we all must have sang especially as Nursery rhymes while growing up. This beautiful and popular hymn is titled “ ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL” by CECIL FRANCES ALEXANDER.

This song reminds me of the undeniable truth that God created all things wise and so beautiful. They were all created for His pleasures. Forget about scientific postulation about how the Earth was formed and how man evolved. We are all a perfect result of God’s creation. This alone tells us that we have a Father who cares greatly for us and calls us His very own.

Sometimes, i wonder how beauties like streams, oceans, mountains, and some unimaginable beauties in this world were formed. It still amazes me till now and makes me glorify God.

As you listen to my acoustic version of the song, reflect on all the beautiful scenes and creations around you and how intentional God carefully created them. Think on these things and glorify Him.

LYRICS

Refrain:
All things bright and beautiful,
all creatures great and small,
all things wise and wonderful,
the Lord God made them all.

  1. Each little flow’r that opens,
    each little bird that sings,
    God made their glowing colors,
God made their tiny wings. [Refrain]

  2. The purple-headed mountain,
    the river running by,
    the sunset, and the morning
that brightens up the sky; [Refrain]

  3. The cold wind in the winter,
    the pleasant summer sun,
the ripe fruits in the garden,
God made them, ev’ry one. [Refrain]

  4. God gave us eyes to see them,
and lips that we might tell
    how great is God Almighty,
who has made all things well. [Refrain]

I didn't know this one has a tune because growing up our teachers had us memorize this poem. I thought this is just a poem!! Wow!! Love the melody, thank you @chosenfingers for sharing this song to us. I so so so love love this, really!! I even memorize the words to this because this usually was our exam during English ... Funny, I have grown not knowing this one is a hymn.... Haha
Thank you! Great song!

Indeed, God made everything perfect and beautiful all for His good pleasures. We must always appreciate God for our beautiful nature and as you have said, do whatever we can to protect nature because we are on Mother Earth to guide and make her flourish.

Thanks for watching my dear friend and for your kind words. Much love🥰
