Hi friends of the hive open mic, I'm indeed happy to be here today, and trusting that I would do something impressive today.

As we all know it's the 203th week of the hive open mic weekly concert, and this week's theme is MEMORIAL, indeed it's an amazing theme, from the time I heard this theme I already knew what I was going to sing, I should have done it even earlier than now but engagements were on my neck, I just had to squeeze out time to present this today.

With this theme, I did a cover of MEMORIES BY MARON 5, I've heard that song for a very long time but I was recently shocked because I found out that I didn't really know the lyrics, I'd always assumed that I knew it, maybe because I didn't pay attention to it, it's a song I think relates more with the theme for this week.

There are things that brings back some memories to us, most times people drink to either get rid of bad memories or to remember good memories which might have been their motivation, sometimes some people believe that whenever they go out on a stroll, they would ger the feeling of good memories they've experienced, we all just have that one thing that makes us remember things that could bring smiles on our faces.

The actual key the song was done in was too high for me, I had to step it down by transposing 1key backwards so that it would be suitable for me, I used Moises app to do it,

Hola amigos de Hive Open Mic, estoy realmente feliz de estar aquí hoy y confiando en que hoy haría algo impresionante. Como todos sabemos es la semana 203 del concierto semanal de micrófono abierto de la colmena, y el tema de esta semana es MEMORIAL, de hecho es un tema increíble, desde que escuché este tema ya sabía lo que iba a cantar, debí haberlo hecho. Incluso antes que ahora, pero los compromisos estaban en mi cuello, solo tenía que sacar tiempo para presentar esto hoy. Con este tema hice un cover de MEMORIES BY MARON 5, escuché esa canción desde hace mucho tiempo pero recientemente me sorprendió porque descubrí que realmente no sabía la letra, siempre había asumido que Lo sabía, tal vez porque no le presté atención, es una canción que creo que se relaciona más con el tema de esta semana. Hay cosas que nos traen algunos recuerdos, la mayoría de las veces la gente bebe ya sea para deshacerse de malos recuerdos o para recordar buenos recuerdos que pudieron haber sido su motivación, a veces algunas personas creen que cada vez que salen a caminar, se la sensación de los buenos recuerdos que han experimentado, todos tenemos algo que nos hace recordar cosas que podrían hacernos sonreír. La clave real en la que se hizo la canción era demasiado alta para mí, tuve que bajarla transponiendo 1 clave hacia atrás para que fuera adecuada para mí, usé la aplicación Moises para hacerlo.
