Funny choir members

I've heard this from many people, the church choir is one of the groups in the church that keeps the church service lively, well that's true and manu people venture into the Choir because they have the passion and also the skills.

My point is that there are some things that some choir members do that doesn't relate to the passion or the talent, I've seen some choir members rush to mount on the instruments or the mic just to dodge offerings hahaha 🤣, it's mainly students that does this, I'm sure the excuse would be school bills, I've been in the choir for a while and I've seen many funny things, some choir members would not come up to sing or play instruments during the praise and worship section but immediately it's offering time, everyone would be rushing to collect the microphone and to play instruments, infact since playing drums is something that a frequent choir member can play, some people would even volunteer to play drums.

The thing is for some churchs, the system of offering makes it too obvious if you don't join the qui, everyone would step out of their sit line by line so if you don't have and you stay back, it would be too obvious.

One other thing I've seen among choir members expecially for instrumentalist is that, whenever the play the instrument skillfully and then people from the congregation tends to enjoy the play, instead of getting encouraged most instrumentalist would see it as an opportunity to show more of their skills and trust me it would definitely land at something funny, I heard a story of someone that experienced same thing, instead of staying calm he began to play with more energy, before he could even realize he had already broken something on the drums haha, the worst thing was that it wasn't in his church, sometimes it's good to be humble.

In my country we call that over Sabi, you mustn't impress everyone, it's very good to play well but one thing I've learnt is that whenever people start to hail me I can easily get distracted and it's something that's general, your village people can use that opportunity to spoil your shining light hahaha 😂, it's the same way a man that is drunk can say or do anything, whenever we're carried away by the hails, we can overdo.
