ON MY WAY - MOVIE SOUNDTRACK
Have you ever tried to imagine what a movie would be like without music? Very bland, right? Often times you hear a song and it immediately reminds you of that one movie you saw sometime back. Movies that
have affiliation with music are a love for me; Three idiots, pitch perfect, let it shine, glamour girls, Kingsman(the golden circle). With me tho, it’s not just about any music. The kind of song and how I connect to it is Paramount.
A few of the songs on my phone I first heard in movies. A
line, the beats, a rhyme,… anything could be the catch-phrase for me and it will get me scampering to go download and drown in the jam.
I have not seen a movie in so long but the most recent love for me is a soundtrack from a movie I saw sometime around the end of last year.
Exciting even, the movie was released last year. Should I delve into the acts, (which should not be part of this article), it just might take me a while to come to an end.
So...
the soundtrack is from the movie “marry me” There are a host of other songs which were used in that movie but the best for me is “on
my way” sang by Jennifer Lopez the major cast in the movie. The performance was electrifying.
Before the movie, i had never really liked Jennifer as I do now. Okay, I’ll be truthful…until I saw that movie I had only heard of Jennifer.
Never knew what she looked like, maybe I had seen her pictures somewhere on the Internet but I did not know her. Well, not until I watched the casts list.
Apart from that movie being an excellent one, the songs were the real deal.
Lots of times I replayed the scenes where the songs were played. I found myself turning on my brother’s PC just so I could watch and listen to the music scenes and performances. The song is vibe-full, electrifying, passionate. In that movie, you will find songs as; “on my way,” “love of my life” and “marry me” -which was sung by Jennifer Lopez and Maluma, her fiance in the movie.
I don’t know why I like it. Must I have a reason to like it?.
Maybe I like it because I have been following the movie and understood the emotion at that point and how heartfelt it was.
Maybe it is the hard-lips, maybe the beats. Maybe it is the electrifying performances with which the songs were delivered or maybe it was nothing at all.
Every song in that movie had a connection. On my way was Jennifer pouring out her emotions after she had called off her marriage to her fiance due to his infidelity, proposed to a random stranger, was indecisive about what she wanted and along the line, fell for this stranger(a mathematics teacher and divorcee).
You'll get in tune with every scene and every moment when/if you see the movie. I tell you.
And then tbe track(s), that's the best part.
There, you have it.
Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!
