BEAUTIFUL OBSESSION

How many songs did you first hear from and fall in love with while seeing a movie? Most of my latest album additions have been tracks from movies.

The songs in a film have to be one of the biggest parts of that movie for me. And last year, more than half the songs I downloaded, were from thence.

I saw the movie "marry me" last year and every track was a hit. It got to me. But this particular one had words I had to repeat time and time again, and slowly too before I could realize just how much message it was passing.

I've been on the road of self-discovery and utmost self love and pampering so it came just rightly. I had decided I was going to work on myself, my confidence, self care, my approach to things, my mannerisms, my etiquette, my confidence, mentally, physically, and otherwise. And I was very intentional.

Prior, I had always overlooked myself, making excuses for that. I loved myself but I was holding back on going all out for me. And I couldn't stand that no more I wanted to be the first person in my life. Of course I am but you get what I mean.

So, I had to put all things in place. See awesome YouTube videos, listen to podcasts, cleared my space, took self care (as I could afford) very importantly. And although i used to dismiss the efficacy, I started talking to myself in the mirror, making videos, watching me speak. it took me time before I began giving myself compliments subconsciously. There was even a spring in my step.

I had always loved me but this time, I was going insane with the show of love. I was so into me I can only describe that as obsession. Beautiful obsession.

The line in that song, "I am the love of the love of my life> explains all it should about itself and life itself. Sometimes we get so caught up in wanting to please others and wanting them to love us that we forget that those people are watching. They see how you treat yourself, they notice how you carry yourself and your family and handle your stuff and they listen to the words you use to describe yourself and then, they can only do as you do. Not more than you do.

If you treat yourself to wine, anyone would be skeptical about offering you soda(this instance doesn't really cut it but I do hope you get it). Your life is your priority. It's you. It begins with you. I learned that early and this song helped make ita mental note. No one can treat you, cherish and love you more than you do, I tell you.

Listen to the beautiful music. I hope the message teaches you as much as it did me.

Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!

Like I always tell people,
Considering oneself first is not a sin. Many times we see ourselves being battered, passing through emotional 'hell' just because we want to please others. It's good to help but we shouldn't die while trying to be 'the one '.
If we die while doing that, they'll go and stick to another people

Truly.
We can only put ourselves first. Failure to do that and we'd be bringing so much harm our way

I can't even count the number of songs I first heard from movies and subsequently added to my playlist, and even downloaded full albums (like the songs from The Greatest Showman). I have actually heard this Jennifer Lopez song (but not from that movie) and it's indeed a remarkable song with beautiful lyrics. One thing people fail to realize is that everybody will still think what they want to no matter if you put them first or not, so it's much better to please yourself first before you even think about pleasing others

Like!
Whether you're very nice or not, people will think what they want. And it can get a lot worse if you're a people pleaser cause you'd be neglected.

I have listened to many songs that resonated with me in many ways. I love this song and the accompanying piece. They way we treat ourselves is very necessary for our emotional well-being. No one can truly love us more than ourselves.
