[song cover] eaJ x keshi - pillows (snippet)

ok so, lately, i've been exploring the app called BandLab and what better way to test my skills than trying to do a cover of this genius collab by eaJ and keshi! i did a cover of this song (eaj's part), which you can listen to here: eaJ x keshi - pillows (snippet)

eaj and keshi are two of my favorite artists because they're extremely talented!!!! sure, they have amazing voice, ridiculous range, tbh! their musicality, laser-focus attention to details, and determination to come up with a fresh sound are undeniable! but, what made me really obsessed with this track is the lyrics!!! eaj and keshi (please visit their channels!!) are genius storytellers so for those of you who don't know what i am talking about, go ahead and prove me wrong haha!

anyway, eaj explained in this video here (start at 6:27) why the track is called "Pillows" and how he came up with the lyrics for his part.

firstly, the song is called "pillows" because, as eaj commented, life is crappy and sometimes we just cry ourselves to sleep, wetting our pillows.

in explaining his part in the track, eaj alludes to that rule in multiplication, when multiplying two negatives will result to a positive. the song basically says that when initially, one person is lonely ("your pillow won't dry")and another person ("i'll give you mine) is also lonely, they can get together and eventually cancel their loneliness out. in a decent summary from one of those who watch eaj's stream, lonely + lonely = not lonely. haha!

gaaahhh i can't even choose a favorite part because every line is just...AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

of course for keshi's part, eaj didn't get to explain this because it was keshi who wrote his part. i hope keshi releases his own explanation too, because his part is also...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!
