"NUMB" LINKIN PARK

Hello dear music lovers around the world! How are you doing? Hopefully you are all doing amazing! Don't forget to keep listening to music wherever you are, anytime! :) This time I really want to share it with you and I want you to also listen to a music that I recommend. I want to recommend several songs from a music band that you all know and like! Who else if not Linkin Park. Who doesn't like them? Linkin Park is one of the most popular alternative rock bands in the world.

I really liked them starting when I was in elementary or middle school. My friends also liked LPs and listen to their music. One song that I first knew and the most famous was called Numb. Who doesn't know this song, on YouTube alone it has had 2 billion views. Even if you play this song over and over again, it's still good to enjoy and each have their own memories about the song. Incredible!

The first album that I know and is famous for making the music group Linkin Park a big name is Meteora. This album then skyrocketed and made Linkin Park's name known to many music lovers not only in America but in Asia and many countries. The group is fronted by Mike Shinoda as vocalist/multi-instrumentalist, Brad Delson as guitarist, Dave Farrell as bassist, Joe Hahn as DJ/programmer, and Rob Bourdon as drummer, who is the founder of the group. Former members of this group are Chester Bennington and Mark Wakefield as main vocalists as well as bassist Kyle Christner.

As we know, Chester Bennington died in 2017 and at that time the news was very shocking. How come? The incident was very sudden and no one expected it to happen, it felt like everything was fine. Well, we never know what someone was experiencing and how their life was, so it's good for us not to judge and compare our lives with other people. I myself felt very sorry because I really liked Chester and his typical good voice and high, hoarse voice can't be compared to him. Now we can no longer hear the figure of Chester and his golden voice. It made me sad and a little bit disappointed, and I'm sure all Linkin Park fans are still very sad about the passing of the Linkin Park vocalist.

It turns out there is a story behind the name Linkin Park, namely that it was taken from Chester Bennington. The name of the park in Los Angeles, named Lincoln Park. In order to be able to develop his own website, Chester Bennington finally changed his name to Linkin Park.

The singer of this song, Chester Bennington, described himself as someone who had become so numb that he could no longer feel anything. The lyrics of the song Numb begin with the singer complaining about the pressure he is under. He feels that the people around him are forcing him to be someone he is not.

I also really like the song Numb, a collaboration with the famous Hip Hop R&B rapper, Jay Z. This song is very cool and has different music so it doesn't sound boring.

This song explains the reality that nowadays people, be it parents, lovers or friends, want to change our behavior and values so that we conform to their needs or society's values, although sometimes the aim is good, but sometimes it actually pressures us and forces us. Something we don't want. In the end we are forced to do it all but we become numb and not ourselves, we feel constrained and that makes us uncomfortable and end up being someone we are not or someone else.

This Numb song is like an open call for those or anyone who wants to follow their own path, believe in their own talent and don't need or force themselves to fulfill other people's expectations. Because other people should support and respect their decisions. Every time we follow their wishes, the one who loses is ourselves and everything we do will be wrong. So in essence, this song talks to us about being ourselves and not being forced to be someone else who makes our lives unhappy.

The second, longer song from Numb, is In The End. Who doesn't know this song? If I'm not mistaken, this song is played in Playstation games, in soccer games, maybe the boys know. Actually, this song talks about the sacrifices a person makes for the people they love. However, all the sacrifices made did not produce results and were just in vain.

The song What I've Done is the soundtrack for the film Transformers and tells the story of someone who regrets the bad deeds they have committed. The music video shows the consequences of war, poverty, murder, drugs, and so on with the aim of depicting that humans have made many mistakes.

We've arrived at the last song from Linkin Park that I recommend to you. This song is also my favorite song from Linkin Park, Leave Out All The Rest. This song has a deep meaning and this song became the soundtrack for the film Twilight. This song really fits and I really like the music! Until now I still often listen to this song and it has not been replaced.

One additional song from one of Linkin Park's members, Mike Shinoda, who created another music group besides Linkin Park called Fort Minor, and there is one song which is very good and I hope you like it, Where'd You Go! :)
