GEISHA Band and Their Relatable Music

After my last music content I invited you to go to Japan and listen to Japanese rock music from anime, this time I invite you music lovers back to the music of my homeland, Indonesia. Indonesian rock songs are no less than other countries, try checking them out yourself!

Coincidentally, I really idolize this band which consists of a female vocalist named Momo, Roby Satria (guitar), Ashari Aulia (bass) and Rahmad Ramadhan (keyboards). However, actually the vocalist has been replaced with a new vocalist now, it's just that I liked Geisha better when the vocalist was Momo. Let's see it together, the song is a little old but it's still very nice to listen to.

Geisha songs are musical works that tell stories of life that happens around us. They are actually mostly about love, sad songs, about betrayal of love, heartbreak, and all kinds of pain experienced by couples. But there are also several songs that express feelings of love and affection for your lover. Geisha themselves are involved in progressive art rock, because in creating songs, Geisha Band combines various different elements, so that it becomes a characteristic of Geisha with rock music and quite fast beats.

Geisha itself was formed in Pekanbaru on December 12 2003, where it was previously called Jingga Band. However, because the name was already owned by someone else, they finally chose to change their name, named Gheisha. They took name Geisha from Japan, which means entertainer, which is synonymous with women entertaining kings. Even though the name has a connotation as an entertainer in this industrial country, the group takes a more positive side, side as an entertaining band. They wanted to entertain fans with their music. Fans are kings and they the entertainer, something like that.

In terms of music, Geisha also admits that she is not completely Japanese, in fact they are very Indonesian. The Japanese band name only takes the term.

The first song that I recommend Geisha is entitled “Jika Cinta Dia” means If You Love Her, this song is also the first single from the first album. This song tells the story of someone who was betrayed by her lover. This girl often cried and was sad to see her lover with another woman and she reluctantly said that if you love her, be honest with me and leave me here without your smile, and that's not all. The singer said that she would try to understand that her boyfriend really loved another more and chose someone else than her. because she felt hurt and maybe her lover was not her true love. The music in this song is also very good and fits the vocalist Momo's distinctive high voice.

The song "Selalu Salah" meaning Always Wrong tells the story of someone who feels love only at the beginning and in the end he is betrayed and all he feels is heartache. in the chorus "Ku tak mengerti cinta indahnya hanya di awal kurasa, mengapa kau benar dan aku selalu salah…” revealed that she doesn't understand about love which is beautiful only in the beginning but over time there is a feeling of boredom and then love will betray. Her lover will always feel right about everything he does even though it is something wrong and hurts his partner.

The song "Lumpuhkanlah Ingatanku" got a lot of viewers because this song is really that good. The music is slow but doesn't seem weak and the vocalist's voice remains strong even though the music is slow and not cheerful. The title means paralyze my memory. It tells about memories of someone who has hurt the singer deeply and it is very difficult for her to forget the memories of her lover. She tried to forget it until she wanted to erase her memory and no longer think about her lover.
