Un mar de lluvia - momentos fotográficos en el coro 🎹 [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share a new day in my life with you. This time, it’s about choir rehearsal. I have to say that since Saturday there has been a lot of rain—and not just rain, but heavy rain accompanied by strong winds, which has caused some damage in Ciudad Guayana. This includes the Alta Vista and Los Olivos neighborhoods, which are the areas where I usually spend my time; however, I believe the hardest-hit areas have been Unare and San Félix. There have been many reports of people losing their homes and vehicles or being unable to go out during the day. I hope the rains let up a bit and fewer people are affected, although I think we’re already heading into winter. In any case, we have to be prepared.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El dÃa de hoy me uno por aquà para compartir con ustedes un nuevo dÃa en mi vida. En esta ocasión se trata del ensayo con el coro. Debo decir que desde el dÃa sábado han habido muchas lluvias y no solo eso, sino lluvias intensas con mucho viento y que han causado algunos estragos en Ciudad Guayana. Incluyendo la zona de alta vista y los olivos, que son las zonas dónde suelo moverme, sin embargo yo creo que las zonas más afectadas han sido Unare y San Félix. Muchas noticias sobre personas perdiendo sus hogares, vehÃculos o viéndose incapacitados para salir en el dÃa. Espero que las lluvias bajen un poco y haya menos afectados, aunque creo que ya entramos en el invierno. De todas formas hay que prevenir.
Given that, I’ve tried to be a little flexible at school, since it’s definitely very difficult to take the kids out in such heavy rain and risk accidents or them getting sick. In the choir, too, thankfully there are several people who have cars and can help those of us who don’t have a safe way to get there. Today, for example, I was already on my way to choir, thinking the storm had let up, but it started raining harder, and thanks to a friend, I was able to get to the academy safely. Today we rehearsed all the songs with the musicians that feature four-part harmony and percussion. It was an intense day, really exhausting, and this week hasn’t been easy with all the rain, but we have to stay optimistic. Frente a eso, he intentado ser un poco flexible en el colegio pues definitivamente es muy complicado llevar los niños con tales lluvias y correr riesgos de accidentes o de enfermar. También en el coro, menos mal son varias quienes cuentan con carro y pueden ayudar a quienes no tenemos cómo llegar a salvo. Hoy por ejemplo ya iba camino al coro, pensando que habÃa bajado la tormenta, pero comenzó a llover más y gracias a una compañera yo pude llegar bien a la academia. Hoy practicamos con los músicos todas las canciones que llevan cuatro y percusión. Fue un dÃa intenso, realmente agotador y la semana en cuestión no ha sido fácil con la lluvia pero hay que mantener el optimismo. Les dejo unas fotografÃas de hace unos dÃas cuando hicimos una grabación especial y que no habia tenido la oportunidad de montar por aquÃ.
