Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m here to share a new chapter in my life with you. This time, I want to show you what our choir gathering was like—we celebrated the birthdays of those born in February, March, and April. It took place two weeks ago, but I hadn’t had a chance to post anything about it yet. As I mentioned, we were planning around that time which day to hold the gathering, and we finally all came to a decision. The girls usually celebrate birthdays together—that is, we wait until the end of the month to celebrate those members. It’s also more practical to do it this way because of everyone’s busy schedules. And for various other reasons that aren’t relevant to this post.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por acá para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión quiero enseñarles lo que fue la reunión del coro con motivo de celebrar a las cumpleañeras del mes de febrero, marzo y abril. Tuvo lugar hace dos semanas, pero no había tenido oportunidad de subir nada de ello. Cómo les comentaba, por aquellos días se estuvo planificando que día se celebraría la reunión y por fin dimos todas dieron con una conclusión. Las chicas tienen por costumbre celebrar en conjunto los cumpleaños, es decir, se espera al final del mes para celebrar a esas integrantes. También por las ocupaciones de cada una es más practico hacerlo de esta manera. Y por motivos varios que no tiene relevancia en esta publicación.
Here we were celebrating four of the choir members, including Director Irma, Jwela, Liusmer, and Elenita. More girls were missing, but I think that between February and April alone, more than half the choir had birthdays (hahaha). As my mom would say: it was like a festival. The truth of the matter is that we rehearsed a few songs that day, and a tremendous rain fell all over the city. So we moved on to the “compartir.” Here in Venezuela, a “compartir” is a gathering where people bring food and drinks to enjoy together. And as you can see, that’s usually everyone’s favorite part. Between singing to the birthday girls, snacking on desserts and treats, and having some casual conversations that sometimes don’t fit into rehearsals due to time constraints, we had a really lovely day. Oh! And I almost forgot to mention the toast (hahaha). I really enjoy this experience, so I’m always grateful for the chance to be here. Without further ado, thank you so much for stopping by.
Aquí estábamos festejando a cuatro de las integrantes del coro, de las cuales incluye la Directora Irma, Jwela, Liusmer y Elenita. Faltaron más chicas, pero creo que solo entre el mes de febrero y abril, más de la mitad del coro cumplió años (jajaja). Cómo diría mi mamá: se armaron las fiestas patronales. Lo cierto del caso es que ese día ensayamos algunas canciones y cayó una tremenda lluvia en toda la ciudad. Así que pasamos al compartir. Aquí en Venezuela se le llama compartir a una reunión dónde se lleva comida y bebida para disfrutar entre todos. Y cómo verán, ese suele ser el momento favorito de todos. Entre el canto a las cumpleañeras, la picada de postres y snacks y algunas conversaciones informales que a veces no tienen espacio entre los ensayos por cuestión de tiempo, tuvimos un día muy bonito. ¡Ah! y me falto nombrar el brindis (jajaja). Disfruto mucho de esta experiencia, así que siempre agradezco la oportunidad de poder estar aquí. Sin más que decir muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
