Hello to everyone in the Music community! Today I bring you a new cover, this time it's the song "Forever Young" by the German band, Alphaville. A few weeks ago I brought one of the songs of this group, "Big in Japan" and it was well liked in the community for being one of those synth pop classics that deserve to be remembered and listened again and again. So, I hope you also enjoy this version of this beautiful song that I bring here.
The song belongs to the album "Forever Young" released in 1984, where you can also find "Big in Japan". Melancholy is present in this song when two proposals are taken in his speech; the first one is about the war (the clear division of East Germany and West Berlin, as well as the political frictions between several countries in the world) and the other one, about the beauty of youth and the longing to have a life worth living. The latter is reminiscent of Nietzsche's idea of the eternal return. Alphaville carefully chooses his words to make reference to the fact that youth is a state of the spirit and whatever you do with it, it must be worthwhile, that this cause (the meaning we owe to our life) is worthy and that old age is only a stage that leads us to the repetition of the cycle. Singing in a soft and pleasant way we can feel the intentions behind the lyrics.
Finally my friends, I hope you enjoy this video that as always, was made with a lot of love and effort for you. I tried to get a white garment that made reference to innocence, youth in general but I only found this black garment. I think it looks good anyway. The fashion of that time was quite nice, I hope for the future to find some garments of that style that give more weight to that performance. ¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Music! El día de hoy les traigo un nuevo cover, está vez se trata de la canción "Forever Young" del grupo alemán, Alphaville. Hace unas semanas traje uno de los temas de este grupo, "Big in Japan" y gustó mucho en la comunidad por ser uno de esos clásicos del synth pop que merecen ser recordados y escuchados una y otra vez. Así que, espero que disfruten mucho también de esta versión que traigo por acá de este bonito tema.
La canción pertenece al álbum "Forever Young" lanzado en el año 1984, dónde también se encuentra "Big in Japan". La melancolía se hace presente en esta canción cuando se toman dos propuestas en su discurso; el primero es sobre la guerra (la clara división de la Alemania oriental y Berlín occidental, además de los roces políticos entre varios países del mundo) y la otra, sobre la belleza de la juventud y el anhelo de tener una vida que valga la pena ser vivida. Esto último recuerda a la idea del eterno retorno de Nietzsche. Pues Alphaville elije cuidadosamente sus palabras para hacernos referencia de que la juventud es un estado del espíritu y lo que sea que hagas con ella, debe valer la pena, que esa causa (el sentido que le debemos a nuestra vida) sea digna y que la vejez solo es un estadio que nos conlleva a la repetición del ciclo. Cantando de una forma suave y agradable podemos sentir las intenciones detras de su letra.
Final.ente amigos míos, espero que disfruten de este video que cómo siempre, fue hecho con mucho amor y esfuerzo para ustedes. Intenté conseguir una vestimenta blanca que hiciera referencia a la inocencia, juventud en general pero solo encontré esta prenda negra. De igual forma creo que queda bien. La moda de aquellos tiempo era bastante bonita, espero para un futuro encontrar algunas prendas de ese estilo que le den más peso a ese performance.
