Música, música y ¿artes plásticas? [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the LifeStyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share another day in my life. This time, I want to tell you about how this lovely day went, since today was choir rehearsal—a day filled with music. I also had a few tasks to take care of before the rehearsal, so I took advantage of the day to plan, together with the teacher and the academy director, a project we hope to carry out in the coming weeks. I think it’s going to be quite interesting, as it’s something that will be useful and beneficial both for me and for the academy in terms of artistic diversity. A comprehensive initiative.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de LifeStyle. El día de hoy me uno por acá para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día mi vida. En esta ocasión les quiero compartir. Cómo fue este bonito día, pues hoy tocaba ensayo en el coro. Día de música. También me tocó hacer algunas actividades antes de entrar y aproveché este día para planificar junto a la profesora y directora de la academia, un proyecto que deseamos poder llevar a cabo en las próximas semanas. Creo que va a estar bastante interesante, pues es algo que va a ser útil y de provecho tanto para mí como para la academia en cuanto a diversidad artística. Una propuesta integral.
By the way, here in the country there have been several power outages due to problems with the electric companies, and around noon we had a brief outage—but in Puerto Ordaz that’s pretty awful since it was extremely hot, and the time we were without electricity was a bit unbearable. Luckily, the power came back on, and I was able to go home to finish my homework and return to the choir for the rehearsal we had scheduled for today. We’ll soon have the Mother’s Day event, which will take place in Plaza Gandhi, so it’s important to know all the songs. So far, I’ve liked all the pieces and think they’re beautiful… and some of them I find quite fun. Like the one by Manguito.
On the other hand, I’m also happy because I’ve been able to sing a little better after treatment, and that makes me feel a bit more confident when singing since I don’t feel pain or discomfort when I breathe or during a big effort to hold a note. Although speaking of that, I need to go back for a checkup soon to make sure everything is still going smoothly. I’m happy to be able to sing and not worry too much about my health. I hope that those of you here in Puerto Ordaz and in Hive can make your way to the event venue on May 9 so you can see not only the Canticum Merú choir but also the other musical acts performing there: VLR, Voces Blancas Canticum Merú, soloists, and more. Por cierto, aquí en el país han habido varios cortes de luz debido a los problemas que hay con las empresas eléctricas y a eso del mediodía tuvimos un corte breve, pero que en Puerto Ordaz resulta bastante terrible ya que hacía muchísimo calor y fue un poco insoportable el tiempo que estuvimos sin electricidad. Por suerte pudo volver y yo también pude subir a casa para terminar de hacer mis tareas y volver al coro para el ensayo que teníamos para este día. Ya pronto tenemos el evento del día de las madres que se va a realizar en la Plaza Gandhi, así que es importante poder conocer todas las canciones. Por los momentos, todas las piezas me han gustado y me parecen preciosas… y otras más que otras me parecen que son bastante divertidas. Cómo la del Manguito.
Por otro lado, también me siento feliz ya que he podido cantar un poco mejor luego de tratamiento y eso me hace sentir un poco más segura a la hora de cantar ya que no siento dolor o molestia cuando respiro o durante un esfuerzo grande en sostener alguna nota. Aunque hablando de eso, en cualquier momento debo volver para poder chequearme y saber qué todo sigue yendo viento en popa. Me siento feliz de poder cantar y no preocuparme demasiado por la salud. Ojalá quienes estén acá en puerto Ordaz y en Hive, puedan acercarse hasta el lugar del evento del 9 de mayo para que vean no sólo al coro de Canticum Merú sino también las otras propuestas musicales que hay allí: VLR, Voces Blancas Canticum Merú, solistas y más.
