Misa por los graduandos del CIMOS: Canticum Merú presente 🙌🇻🇪🤗 [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share a new chapter in my life with you. This time, it’s about our performance—Canticum Merú’s performance—during the graduation Mass held for the graduating class of the Miguel Otero Silva International School this Friday afternoon. This is the class of 12th-graders, who this July will finally be able to earn their high school diplomas—a dream and a goal achieved through a great deal of effort, time, and dedication. Here’s a little more about it.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working on a sacred repertoire that has been used for various performances intended to commemorate different moments and, in particular, to dedicate them to those who were severely affected by the twin earthquakes in Venezuela. However, today’s Mass was intended to bring encouragement, strength, and joy to the young people who aspire to become professionals and, above all, upstanding citizens of Venezuela. I believe they, too, have gone through a very difficult time, as it can be confusing and challenging because, amid so much pain, they must still have the desire to celebrate and feel the joy of such an event. I believe that everything has its time, and it’s not good to let sadness overwhelm us. That doesn’t help our country either.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El dÃa de hoy me uno por aquà para compartir con ustedes un nuevo dÃa en mi vida. En esta ocasión se trata sobre nuestra presentación, la de Canticum Merú durante la misa de grado ofrecida a los graduandos del Colegio Internacional Miguel Otero Silva, durante la tarde de este viernes. Esta es la promoción de los jovenes de 5to año, quiénes este julio por fin podrán optar por su titulo cómo bachilleres, un sueño y una meta lograda con mucho esfuerzo, tiempo y cariño. Aquà les cuento un poco más.
Durante las últimas semanas hemos estado trabajando con un repertorio sacro que se ha usado para las diferentes presentaciones que se han hecho con la intención de conmemorar distintos momentos y en especial, dedicarlas a las personas que se vieron gravemente afectadas por el doble terremoto en Venezuela. Sin embargo, la misa de hoy tenÃa cómo intención traer ánimos, fuerza y alegrÃa a los jóvenes que aspiran a convertirse en profesionales y sobre todo, en ciudadanos Ãntegros de Venezuela. Creo que ellos han atravesado un momento también muy duro, pues puede llegar a ser confuso y comprometedor porque dentro de tanto dolor, ellos deben de tener el anhelo de poder celebrar y sentir la alegrÃa de tal evento. Creo que todo tiene su momento y tampoco es bueno dejar que la tristeza nos hunda. Asà tampoco ayudamos a nuestro paÃs.
It was great to see so many young people with such excitement on their faces and to see all those parents so proud of their children. The words spoken to them were also very comforting and appropriate. On top of that, everything went very well with all the songs. It was a great performance. I enjoyed running into one of my students, who was accompanying her mother and a relative who was graduating. Soon, in a few years, she’ll be standing in that very same spot, reuniting with her classmates and achieving that great milestone. She’s a good student with many talents. Tomorrow we’ll have the performance in San Félix, so this has been a busy week. I’ll say it again: the situation in Venezuela remains alarming, but little by little things are improving. Fue bueno ver a tantos jóvenes llenos de ilusión en sus rostros y ver a todos esos padres orgullosos de sus muchachos. También las palabras que se les fueron dadas fueron bien reconfortantes y adecuadas. Por otro lado, todo salió muy bien con todas las canciones. Fue una buena presentación. Disfrute encontrarme con una de mis esudiantes, quién estaba acompañando a su madre y un familiar que se graduaba. Pronto ella en unos años ya estará en ese mismo lugar, reuniéndose con sus compañeros y alcanzando esa gran meta. Es una buena estudiante con muchos talentos. Mañana tendremos la presentación en San Félix, asà que esta ha sido una semana ocupada. Vuelvo y reitero que, la situación en Venezuela sigue siendo alarmante, pero poco a poco se está levantando.
