Mi pasión está en mis talentos [ENG/ESP]
Hello everyone! Today Tuesday I am joining the "Talent Gathering" with the theme of the week which is "Passion". This is my first time joining this event so here I will talk to you about some of my passions. In this article I will take passion from an artistic perspective. Let's start with it.
To talk about passion is to think about that emotion that we experience when we are in tune with something that we find pleasurable, joyful and exciting. Whether it is a state of mind that we live with on a daily basis (the passion to live/exist, as a life perspective) or during moments of creation and action. For me, passion is an important element in creative work (in the arts) and that pushes me (motivates me, helps me) to do, to produce with care, love and dedication something in particular.
¡Hola a todos! Hoy martes me uno al "encuentro de talentos" con la temática de la semana que es la "Pasión". Es primera vez que me uno a este evento así que aquí les hablaré sobre algunas de mis pasiones. En este artículo tomaré a la pasión desde una perspectiva artística. Comencemos con ello.
Hablar sobre pasión es pensar en esa emoción que se vive cuando estamos en sintonía con algo que nos parece agradable, dichoso y excitante. Ya sea sí es un estado de ánimo con el que se vive a diario (la pasión por vivir/existir, cómo una perspectiva de vida) o durante momentos de creación y acción. Para mí, la pasión es un elemento importante en el trabajo creador (en las artes) y que me empuja (me motiva, me ayuda) a hacer, a producir con esmero, amor y dedicación alguna cosa en particular.

One of those things that make me feel very good and that I consider to be more than a hobby, are singing and painting. Singing for me is something that fills me with a lot of energy, joy and strength because it is an activity that I enjoy a lot and I do it constantly (almost every day). In that line of ideas I can say that music is definitely a priority in my life, because I like both singing and listening to music. I like to be at home and play the playlist I keep on my phone and computer with some of my favorite songs.
Painting for me is an activity that transports me to a very intimate space where there is only me and the support (the canvas, the surface, the plane). It is a work that makes me enter a state of deep concentration. Ironically, although I like music a lot, when I am painting I like everything to be in silence, in tranquility, because noises (or distractions) make me get out of that state of concentration. I can last hours painting, without noticing how much time has passed and without feeling the need to get up to drink water, eat or anything like that.
Una de esas cosas que me hacen sentir muy bien y que considero son más que un pasatiempo, son el canto y la pintura. Cantar para mí es algo que me llena de mucha energía, de alegría y de fuerza pues es una actividad que disfruto bastante y lo hago de forma constante (casi todos los días). En esa línea de ideas puedo decir que la música es definitivamente una prioridad en mí vida, pues me gusta tanto cantar cómo escuchar música. Me gusta estar en casa y reproducir la lista de canciones que guardo en mí teléfono y computadora con algunas de mis canciones favoritas.
Pintar para mí es una actividad que me transporta a un espacio muy íntimo dónde solo estoy yo y el soporte (el bastidor, la superficie, el plano). Es un trabajo que me hace entrar en un estado de concentración profundo. Irónicamente, aunque me guste mucho la música, cuando estoy pintando me gusta que todo esté en silencio, en la tranquilidad, pues los ruidos (o distracciones) me hacen salir de ese estado de concentración. Puedo durar horas pintando, sin percatarme de cuanto tiempo ha pasado y sin sentir la necesidad de levantarme a tomar agua, comer o algo por el estilo.

On some occasions I have been fortunate enough to be able to manifest some of my talents. Although I don't consider myself a professional musician and my artwork is more of an experimental, informal painting rather than an actual work. The latter requires much more experience, time and practice. However, I feel comfortable with what I have achieved in all this time. I think that is one of the benefits of having a passion; to conclude a successful work that took time, effort, talent and knowledge. To trace a beginning and to reach the end, to fulfill the objectives. So it is very satisfying to see what one has created; a song or a painting, in my case.
Another thing that I like a lot and that is more of a hobby, is to play. I really enjoy being able to solve problems, finish puzzles, find strategies, make choices and so on. Board games and video games are some of my favorite things to play with company or alone. Either one is fine with me.
En algunas oportunidades he tenido la dicha de poder manifestar algunos de mis talentos. Aunque no me considero un músico profesional y mis trabajos artísticos son más bien experimentales, pinturas informales más que una obra en cuestión. Para esto último se necesita de mucha más experiencia, tiempo y práctica. Sin embargo me siento a gusto con lo que he logrado en todo este tiempo. Creo que esa es una de las bondades de tener una pasión; concluir un trabajo con éxito el cual costó tiempo, esfuerzo, talento y conocimiento. Trazar un inicio y llegar hasta el final, cumplir el objetivos. Por lo que es muy satisfactorio de ver lo que uno ha creado; una canción o una pintura, en mí caso.
Otra cosa que me gusta bastante y que es más bien un pasatiempo, es jugar. Me gusta mucho poder resolver problemas, terminar puzzles, encontrar estrategias, hacer elecciones y demás. Los juegos de mesa y los videojuegos son de mis cosas favoritas para jugar con compañía o a solas. Cualquiera de las dos está bien para mí.

Finally my friends, we all have something that fills us with passion. It is fortuitous when we become aware that we are good at some craft or activity. We get hooked on it and make it our own. Mastering a talent is no small thing, so let's be proud of our work, because even when we are just starting out in something, the important thing is to have the motivation to want to learn and get better and better at whatever it is we do. Finalmente amigos míos, todos tenemos algo que nos llena de pasión. Resulta fortuito el momento en que somos conscientes de que somos buenos en algún oficio o actividad. El dominio de un talento no es poca cosa así que a sentirnos orgullosos por nuestro trabajo pues aún y cuando se está iniciando en algo, lo importante es tener la motivación de querer aprender y ser cada vez mejores en lo que sea que nos dediquemos.
