Guayana a una voz 🎹🌟❤️ encuentro coral en La Casa de la Música [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share a new chapter in my life with you. On this occasion, I’d like to share a bit about the choral gathering (“Guayana a una voz”) in Ciudad Guayana in commemoration of National Choral Singing Day (celebrated on June 15). For that date—the 15th—it had been planned (before the tragedy of the twin earthquakes) that a gathering would be held with several of the choirs active in Ciudad Guayana. However, following the tragedy, there was some uncertainty as to whether the event would take place. Given this situation—and the fact that many choirs had already prepared a repertoire to perform that day—it was decided that the event would go ahead. It began on July 15 and continued on the 18th and 1th—over the weekend.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión les vengo a compartir un poco sobre lo que fue el encuentro coral (Guayana a una voz) en Ciudad Guayana en conmemoración del Día Nacional del Canto Coral (celebrado el 15 de junio). Para esa fecha del 15 se había planificado (antes de la tragedia del doble terremoto), que se haría un encuentro con varios de los coros que hacen vida en Ciudad Guayana. Sin embargo, tras la tragedia, este evento había quedado un poco en la incertidumbre sobre sí se haría o no. Frente a ello y que ya muchos coros habían sacado un repertorio para presentar ese día, se decidió que sí se haría el evento. El mismo empezó desde el 15 de julio y continúo el 18 y el 19. Fin de semana.
So we, Canticum Merú, performed on Saturday alongside the Curie Children’s Choir, the Modesta Bor Choir from CEMI, the Caroní Municipal Children’s Choir, the Municipal Choir, and the Sidor José Erasmo Rojas Choir. Unfortunately, the latter was unable to perform. So preparations began very early in the morning so we could arrive on time and join our fellow choir members. The Casa de la Música is an iconic venue in San Félix, and many musicians appreciate this space for academic and cultural growth. It was my first time visiting the venue, so I was very interested in exploring the surroundings—its architecture is quite unique—and it was also nice to find a building dedicated to nurturing the musical talent of the residents of Ciudad Guayana.
Así que nosotras, Canticum Merú, se presentó el día sábado junto a: Coral Infantil Curie, Coral Modesta Bor del CEMI, Coro Infantil Municipal Caroní, Coral Municipal y Coral Sidor José Erasmo Rojas. Lamentablemente esta última no se pudo presentar. Así que desde bien temprano comenzaron los preparativos para poder llegar a tiempo y asistir junto a los demás hermanos coralistas. La Casa de la Música es un lugar icónico en San Félix y muchos músicos agradecen este espacio para el crecimiento académico y cultural. Era primera vez que yo entraba al lugar, así que estaba muy interesada en conocer sus alrededores pues su arquitectura es bastante singular y tambien era agradable encontrar un edificio con la misión de resguardar el talento musical de los habitantes de Ciudad Guayana. Es importante mencionar que el evento también fue en memoria de las personas afectada por el doble terremoto del 24 de junio.
The event began at 4 p.m., and the children started singing. We were scheduled to perform second to last, so we took the opportunity to go take some photos, considering that the view was beautiful (you can see the river, part of Monagas State, and Anzoátegui State) and that it was also a very nice day—despite the rain. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to hear everyone perform because it was important to make way for the general audience; however, after we all sang our respective songs, we concluded with the national anthem of Venezuela. It was a very beautiful moment. The conductors were also presented with certificates of participation for taking part in this choral gathering. It was a very special day. I’ll cherish the memory. It was also one of our classmates’ birthday. Without further ado, thank you so much for stopping by.
El evento comenzó a las 4 de la tarde y comenzaron los niños a cantar. Nosotras contaríamos de penúltimas, así que aprovechamos la ocasión para ir a tomarnos algunas fotografías tomando en consideración que la vista es muy bella (se ve el río, parte del estado Monagas y el estado Anzoátegui) y que también hacia un día muy bueno. A pesar de la lluvia. Lamentablemente no pudimos escuchar a todos porque era importante ceder el puesto para el público general, sin embargo luego de que todos cantamos nuestras respectivas canciones, terminamos con la canción de Venezuela. Fue un momento muy bonito. También se le otorgaron a los directores un certificado de participación por haber estado en este encuentro coral. Fue un día muy especial. Lo guardaré con cariño. También fue el cumpleaños de uno de nuestros compañeros. Sin más que decir muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
