Ensayo Musical 🎹🎤 Dos Gaviotas y su trabalenguas [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the lifestyle community. Today I’m here to share with you a new chapter in my life. This time, I want to tell you about our choir rehearsal with Canticum Merú. As I mentioned in previous posts, we’ve been rehearsing for our performance on May 9 at Gandhi Plaza, where Mother’s Day will be celebrated. A preview of Sunday. We also received some great news: we’ve been invited to perform on May 7 at Chocolatería Farah in the Orinokia shopping center. They’ll be hosting a chocolate tasting there, and they invited us to sing a few songs—which I won’t reveal (so it’s a surprise)—but they’re related to femininity and our country, Venezuela. It’s going to be really beautiful, and I love the songs they’ve selected, so we’ll see how it all goes.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por acá para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión les quiero comentar cómo fue nuestro día de ensayo del coro con Canticum Merú. Como les comenté en las anteriores publicaciones hemos estado ensayando para presentarnos el día 9 de mayo en la plaza Gandhi dónde se celebrará el día de la madre. Un adelante del día domingo. Así mismo también tuvimos una grata noticia y es que nos invitaron para presentarnos este 7 de mayo en la Chocolatería Farah, en el centro comercial Orinokia. Allí se celebrará una cata de chocolate y nos invitaron para cantar algunas canciones que no voy a comentar (para que sea una sorpresa), pero que tienen relación con la feminidad y nuestro país, Venezuela. Va a estar muy bello y las canciones seleccionadas me encantan, así que veremos cómo va todo.
For now, I’ll tell you that we’ll be performing on May 9. Among those songs are three by Modesta Bor: “Luna de Malecón,” “Canción para la niña desvelada,” and “El Manguito.” There are also some better-known ones that will get people moving: La negra Atilia, Maquerule, Por qué eres así, Caramba, Dos Gaviotas, and a few more. Specifically, I think the song Dos Gaviotas is super fun because it’s a challenge for the listener to keep up with the rhythm. I’m learning that one, and I already have others ready. Musician Thomas will also be joining us on the cuatro. On another note, after rehearsal I spent some time organizing a few things that will be happening soon at the academy, and alongside school, I’ll have to work on building something really cool... Por los momentos les comento que estaremos presentando para el día 9 de mayo. Entre esas canciones están tres de Modesta Bor: Luna de Malecón, Canción para la niña desvelada, El Manguito. También otras más conocidas y que pondrán a las personas a moverse: La negra Atilia, Maquerule, Por qué eres así, Caramba, Dos Gaviotas y un poco más. En específico, me parece súper divertida la canción de las Dos Gaviotas pues representa un reto para el oyente y que se sienta capaz de seguir el ritmo de la canción. Estoy aprendiendo esa y ya hay otras que tengo listas. También nos acompañarán con el cuatro, el músico, Thomas. Por otra parte, luego del ensayo llegué organizando algunas cuestiones que pronto se darán en la academia y que paralelo a la escuela, tendré que trabajar para poder construir algo bien chévere...
