Ensayo con... Cerro Bolívar 🙏❤️🌟 una historia por cantar [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m stopping by to share a new day in my life with you. This time, I want to tell you a little about this past Wednesday. Last Sunday, when I went to see the Guayana choir groups, I was enchanted by the Cerro Bolívar choir. And by pure chance, while talking with my friend and fellow Canticum member, she mentioned that the choir was open to new members and that they had recently resumed activities after a long hiatus. What I heard at the church—the warmth of Maestro Proto and the new possibilities—really stuck with me. So today I took the opportunity to go to their rehearsal and get to know the group formally.
Almost all the members work at Ferrominera, and I think only two are from outside the company. Well, that includes me, my friend, and I think another one of my colleagues who’s also part of the group. Coincidentally, two other new people showed up today for the audition—a tenor and an alto. As for me, I’m a soprano. They were rehearsing new songs, such as “Natalia” by Antonio Lauro and “Dulces Criollos” by Luis Laguna, arranged by Modesta Bor. So we started working on “Natalia.” For the first day, we made good progress and were able to get through practically half the song. I think it’s a very sweet, charming, and fun song.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión, les quiero contar un poco sobre este miércoles. El día domingo cuando asistí a ver a los chicos de los coros de Guayana, quedé encantada con el coro de Cerro Bolívar y por pura casualidad de la vida, hablando con mi amiga y compañera de Canticum, me comentó que el coro estaba abierto a recibir más coralistas y que ellos habían vuelto recientemente a las actividades luego de una larga pausa. Me quedó sembrada la semilla de lo que escuché en la iglesia, la calidez del maestro Proto y las nuevas posibilidades. Así que hoy aproveche para ir al ensayo de ellos y conocer al grupo formalmente.
Casi todos los miembros son trabajadores de Ferrominera y creo que solo dos son foráneos. Bueno, incluyendo mi persona, mi amiga y creo que otra de mis compañeras que también están dentro. Hoy coincidencialmente fueron otras dos personas nuevas para hacer la audición y resultaron en un tenor y una contralto. Por mi parte, soprano. Ellos se encontraban montando nuevas canciones cómo lo es Natalia de Antonio Lauro y Dulces Criollos de Luis Laguna con arreglo de Modesta Bor. Así que comenzamos a trabajar con Natalia. Para ser el primer día avanzamos bastante y pudimos dar con prácticamente la mitad de la canción. Me parece una canción muy dulce,amable y divertida.
I wanted to tell you a little about the brochure and the badges you see in the pictures. It turns out that all of these belong to one of the choir members, Mr. Federico Luzardo (bass section), who has been with the choir for many years. There you can see the choir’s participation in the various festivals and events that took place back then. I find it admirable how well-preserved everything is and how they carry it all with them in their folder and portfolio. I felt I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to document all of this, which is part of the choral history of Ciudad Guayana—the Cerro Bolívar Choir. You know how much I love history and, above all, how much I cherish these moments when the ordinary becomes extraordinary. It all happened spontaneously, and well, it’s something I embrace. Les quería comentar un poco sobre el folleto y los gafetes que ven en las imágenes. Resulta que todo ello pertenece a uno de los miembros del coro, el señor Federico Luzardo (cuerda de los bajos) quién ha permanecido en el coro desde hace muchos años. Allí se pueden ver la participación del coro en los diferentes festivales y eventos que se hicieron en aquellos años. Me parece admirable lo bien conservado que tiene cada cosa y que llevan consigo entre su carpeta y portafolio. Creo que no podía dejar pasar esta oportunidad de registrar todo esto que es parte de la historia coral de Ciudad Guayana, la Coral Cerro Bolívar. Ya saben lo mucho que me gusta la historia y sobre todo, poder aprovechar estos momentos que de lo ordinario se vuelve extraordinario. Todo se dió de forma espontánea y bueno, es algo que yo abrazo. Fue un día muy bueno, pese a la lluvia y el frío (jaja). Aqui foto con el maestro Proto en mi primer día de ensayo. Sin más que decir muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
