Greetings to the entire Lifestyle community! Today I’m joining you here to share another day in my life. This time, I’d like to tell you about the activities at the Canticum Merú academy. As I mentioned before, we have two performances scheduled for this May: one to celebrate Mother’s Day and another to support a chocolate tasting event. The truth is that things are going very well; it’s a small repertoire, but one put together with a lot of love.
Unlike the sacred repertoire, I think I’ve been able to enjoy this new repertoire a bit more since it doesn’t seem as delicate or demanding in certain parts of some songs as the previous one did. Both are beautiful, and as I mentioned before, they’re simply different. It all comes down to personal taste, and I’d even go so far as to say it depends on one’s mood and the context in which the song is sung. On the other hand, I’m thrilled to be in better health so I can sing without so many complications, though I’m still taking it easy. Oh, and by the way, summer has arrived here in the country, and as you can see, all the trees have started to put on their leaves.
Saludos a toda la comunidad de Lifestyle, el día de hoy me uno por acá para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión les quiero comentar cómo fueron las actividades en la academia de Canticum Merú. Cómo ya comenté, tenemos dos presentaciones para este mes de mayo: uno con motivo de celebración del día demás madres y otro con motivo de apoyar una cata de chocolates. Lo cierto del caso es que las cosas van marchando muy bien, pues es un repertorio pequeño pero hecho con mucho cariño.
A diferencia del repertorio sacro, creo que he podido disfrutar este nuevo repertorio un poco más ya que no me parece tan delicado o exigente en ciertas partes de algunas canciones cómo sucedía con el anterior. Ambos son bellos y cómo comenté en otra ocasión, simplemente son diferentes. Todo depende de gustos y colores, incluso me atrevería a decir que del estado de ánimo y del contexto en dónde se canta. Por otra parte me emociona poder estar mejor de salud para poder cantar sin tantas complicaciones, pero igual estoy un poco cuidándome. Ah y que por cierto aquí en el país llegó el verano y cómo podrán ver, todos los árboles comenzaron a vestir sus ramas.
I also wanted to share some family moments. Like with my dear dog Brandy, whose harness I recently had to replace—the one she wears when we go for walks—because I don’t know how or who, but she’s managed to damage every leash and harness we’ve bought. So here in the photo, we were happy because she’d just come back from a walk and was resting with me. Such beauties. I’m glad things are going well, although to be honest, I really miss my parents, my sister, and my uncles and aunts. It’s a little hard to accept that we don’t live close enough to share little moments together—even if just for a moment. Without further ado, thank you so much for stopping by.
Quería compartir también algunos momentos en familia. Cómo con mi querida perrita Brandy, a quién hace poco tuve que cambiarle la pechera con la que sale a pasear pues no sé cómo o quién, se le ha ocurrido dañar todas las correas y pecheras que hemos comprado. Así que aquí en la fotografía estábamos felices porque ella acababa de salir de pasear y estaba descansando conmigo. Unas bellezas. Me alegra como están yendo las cosas, aunque siendo sincera realmente extraño a mis papás, mi hermana y mis tíos. Es un poco difícil realizar que no vivimos cerca para compartir pequeños momentos juntos. Aunque sea por un instante. Sin más que decir muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
