5ta jornada del Plan Vacacional Música y Arte 🎵🎼 🎨 [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share another day in my life with you. This time, I want to tell you about the fifth day of the Music and Art Vacation Program at the Canticum Merú Academy. This Friday was the last day of the vacation program for the academy’s students, so we had prepared some activities to wrap up the week, focusing on everything the children have learned and participated in regarding music, art, and crafts. Join me in this post.
We started the morning full of energy and warmth. One craft activity that combined music and the arts involved creating a display using adhesive paper attached to a cardboard frame, where the children had to “draw” with yarn or cutouts of colored paper. The children were amazed to see how the display could hold the elements they were adding bit by bit. Some others found it surprising that the image looked clear up close but blurry from a distance. In any case, it was an activity that everyone really enjoyed.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión les quiero contar cómo fue la 5ta jornada del Plan Vacacional Música y Arte en la Academia de Canticum Merú. Este día viernes fue el último día del plan vacacional para los niños de la academia, así que teníamos preparado algunas actividades que sirvieran como cierre de esta semana, en relación con todas las cosas que los niños han aprendido y en las que han participado en cuanto a música, arte y manualidades. Hoy comenzamos la mañana con mucha energía y cariño. Una manualidad que unía a la música y a las artes, consistía en realizar una pantalla con papel adhesivo adherido a un marco de cartulina, dónde los niños debían "dibujar" con estambre o con recortes de papel de colores. Los niños se sintieron asombrados de ver cómo esa pantalla podía mantener los elementos que iban colocando poco a poco. Algunos otros encontraron sorprendente que de cerca se veía nítido pero de lejos se veía borroso. De cualquier forma, fue una actividad que gustó bastante.
On the other hand, since it was the children’s last day, a scavenger hunt was held in which the children had to organize themselves into teams and go through several stations featuring different activities that they had to complete. The teams that finished first were declared the winners. Among the activities was picking up small pieces of paper with a straw and placing them in the corresponding cups; another involved using the monster they’d made on Monday to blow a ball and navigate the course; yet another required passing the ball over the heads of the other participants; and there were several others. Before we knew it, it was time to wrap up, so we handed out some of the remaining crafts and a small gift engraved with oil paint.
I must confess that I was starting to feel a little sad because it was the children’s last day in the program, but at the same time I was happy because many of the vacation program’s goals had been achieved: for the children to learn about music and art (painting) in a fun way, to make new friends, and to discover and develop different skills and abilities that will serve them throughout their lives. Several of them left eager to play an instrument or continue painting. I’m glad I had the opportunity to be part of this week alongside my colleagues: Teacher Bethania, Teacher María, and Teacher Irma. Without further ado, thank you so much for stopping by.
Por otro lado, cómo era el último día de los niños, se realizó una gymcana dónde los niños debían organizarse en equipos y pasar por varias estaciones que contenían diferentes actividades y que ellos debían resolver. Quienes lograrán terminar primero, resultaban ganadores. Entre esas actividades estaba el de recoger papelillos con un pitillo y ubicarlos en los vasos correspondientes, otra actividad era usar el monstruo que hicieron el día lunes para soplar la pelota y recorrer la pista, otra de ellas era pasar la pelota por encima de los demás y otras más. Cuando menos nos dimos cuenta, ya era la hora de terminar y allí repartimos algunas de las manualidades restantes que quedaban y un detalle hecho en grabado con pintura al óleo.
Debo confesar que comenzaba a sentir un poco de tristeza porque era el último día de los niños en el plan, pero al mismo tiempo feliz porque se lograron muchos de los objetivos del plan vacacional: que los niños aprendieran de música y arte (pintura) de forma divertida, que hicieran nuevos amigos, que conocieran y desarrollaran aptitudes y habilidades diferentes que les servirán para toda su vida. Varios salieron con ganas de tocar un instrumento o continuar pintando. Me alegra haber tenido la oportunidad de estar presente en esta semana junto a mis compañeras: profesora Bethania, profesora María y profesora Irma.
