Este es el primer concierto al cual asistí, y como no hacerlo ante semejante cantante y entrada gratis. Resulta que en el estado donde vivía había un mes especial para la región, tanto que se invitaba a un cantante cada año para celebrar un concierto totalmente gratis para quien deseara asistir. Si mal no recuerdo, Olga Tañon fue una de las primeras en este evento especial, y lo hizo de una manera tan asombrosa que en años siguientes la volvieron a invitar.

El día del concierto parecía un día festivo a nivel regional, y como no serlo si se trataba de la feria y el concierto, celebraciones que muchos esperaban durante todo el año. Recuerdo que mis amigos y yo vivíamos algo cerca del lugar donde sería el concierto, y uno de ellos comentó de que debíamos ir temprano para “no quedarnos fuera “ y perdernos el concierto. Los demás refutamos la idea ya que el concierto era gratis, así que no había necesidad de tanto apuro.

Lo cierto fue que al llegar al lugar del concierto, nos encontramos con una cola como de dos mil personas, y hasta creo quedarme corto. Cabe mencionar que unos días antes cuando anunciaron que sería Olga Tañon la invitada se levantó una intensa propaganda por radio y televisión local, así que era de esperarse que la gente reaccionara de esa forma. Ya superando el largo tramo de espera logramos entrar, justo a tiempo pues en pocos minutos empezó el espectáculo.

Aquel ambiente estaba a todo dar, lleno alegría, gritos y euforia. Por el ritmo y el tipo de música, los presentes no sabían que hacer, si cantar, bailar o gritar mientras Olga Tañon realizaba su show. En esos momentos el tiempo parece andar de forma diferente y lo menos que deseas es que llegue a su final. Precisamente el punto álgido del evento fue cuando Olga entonó la última canción, “Mi eterno amor secreto “ lo cual nos puso a cantar a muchos y a llorar a otros.

“Como hago “ ( Eddy Herrera)

Este fue otro cantante que en tan poco tiempo generó muchas alegrías y emociones, ganándose el cariño de todos los bolivarenses. No era difícil encontrar alguno de sus temas sonando en cualquier emisora de radio pues no solo era uno o dos sino varios temas los que se habían popularizado con plena aceptación. En poco tiempo se dio lo que tanto se esperaba, un concierto de Eddy Herrera en nuestra ciudad.

A diferencia del concierto de Olga Tañon este no era gratis, pero para aquel entonces el precio de una entrada tampoco era algo tan exorbitante. Recuerdo que a un amigo le bastó un par de semanas de trabajo para poder comprar su entrada y la de su esposa, aún sin tener un trabajo bien remunerado. Esto me hace ver una triste realidad a la que hoy hacemos frente, donde ya no se puede disfrutar de eventos como este, y si llegaran a celebrarse no muchos podríamos asistir.

La noticia del concierto se expandió rápidamente, y los medios de comunicación hicieron un gran trabajo. Cada vez sonaban más los temas de Eddy Herrera en las emisoras, las cuales también llamaban la atención del público con concursos musicales, siendo aquí donde me toca mencionar que gracias a eso fue que yo pude conseguir mi entrada. Recuerdo que la temática del concurso era muy sencilla: la persona llamaba, y de forma aleatoria te colocaban un tema de Eddy Herrera. Si acertaba el nombre de la canción automáticamente te ganabas una entrada.

Ya con la experiencia del concierto pasado, esta vez si nos fuimos más temprano. Los muchachos llegamos primero y las muchachas unas horas después. La cantidad de personas era considerable, y aunque la lluvia hizo presencia en algún momento antes de empezar el concierto, esto no afectó en algo al desarrollo del show. Eddy Herrera empezó a cantar a eso de las once de la noche, y al igual que en concierto de Olga, el tiempo parece ser diferente, y no haces más que cantar, bailar y compartir.

La canción “Como hago” fue el tema con el cual gané el concurso, así que cuando Eddy Herrera empezó a cantarla en pleno concierto, fácilmente podía decir que ese tema pagó mi entrada 😂. Aquella noche también fue uno de los conciertos en los que Eddy Herrera invitó a la cantante Liz, con quien interpretó algunos temas a dúo.

La experiencia de estar en un concierto es algo que no tiene precio. Si ya lo has vivido, de seguro deseas hacerlo una vez más, y si no lo has hecho, sigues añorando para que pronto llegue ese especial momento. A veces veo conciertos grabados de Ricardo Arjona, Laura Pausini, Alejandro Sanz o Marco Antonio Solís, y las emociones resaltan sin parar, así que estar en un concierto de ellos debe ser algo de otro planeta, por así decirlo. Siempre he pensado que un concierto es la conexión más cercana que hay entre el cantante y su público, y es muy bonito cuando cada parte se entrega de forma especial, cada quien haciendo su parte y dando vida a una experiencia inolvidable.

From my point of view, one of the most exciting experiences for music fans is being able to attend a concert. Anyone who has been there knows how special that moment is, especially if it is one of your favorite singers. It is indescribable the atmosphere and the time you spend in a sublime event and for which many of us still yearn to relive a show of such magnitude.

As I have always said, my taste in music is as broad as my favorite singers and musical genres, and thanks to that there is a lot to choose from when it comes to a concert. Certainly today the situation is very different in terms of holding concerts in our country, and more so with singers of high caliber, which generates a bit of sadness and frustration in music lovers. So, to remember those times, I will tell you a little about my experience in relation to concerts.

"Mi eterno amor secreto" (Olga Tañon)

This is the first concert I attended, and how not to do it with such a great singer and free admission. It turns out that in the state where I lived there was a special month for the region, so much so that a singer was invited every year to celebrate a concert totally free for anyone who wished to attend. If I remember correctly, Olga Tañon was one of the first ones at this special event, and she did so amazingly well that in the following years she was invited again.

The day of the concert seemed like a regional holiday, and how could it not be if it was the fair and the concert, celebrations that many looked forward to all year long. I remember that my friends and I lived somewhat close to the place where the concert was to be held, and one of them commented that we should go early so as "not to be left out" and miss the concert. The rest of us refuted the idea since the concert was free, so there was no need to rush.

The truth was that when we arrived at the concert venue, we found a line of about two thousand people, and I think that was an understatement. It is worth mentioning that a few days before when they announced that Olga Tañon would be the guest, there was an intense propaganda on local radio and television, so it was to be expected that people would react that way. After the long wait we made it inside, just in time for the show to start in a few minutes.

The atmosphere was in full swing, full of joy, screams and euphoria. Because of the rhythm and the type of music, those present did not know what to do, whether to sing, dance or scream while Olga Tañon performed her show. In those moments time seems to go differently and the least you want is for it to come to an end. Precisely the high point of the event was when Olga sang the last song, "Mi Eterno Amor Secreto" which made many of us sing and others cry.

"Como hago" (Eddy Herrera)

This was another singer who in such a short time generated a lot of joy and emotions, earning the affection of all Bolivarenses. It was not difficult to find any of his songs playing on any radio station because it was not only one or two but several songs that had been popularized with full acceptance. In a short time, what was so long awaited, a concert of Eddy Herrera in our city took place.

Unlike Olga Tañon's concert this one was not free, but at that time the price of a ticket was not so exorbitant. I remember that a friend of mine only needed a couple of weeks of work to be able to buy his and his wife's tickets, even though he did not have a well paid job. This makes me see a sad reality that we are facing today, where you can no longer enjoy events like this, and if they were to be held, not many of us would be able to attend.

The news of the concert spread quickly, and the media did a great job. Eddy Herrera's songs were being played more and more on the radio stations, which also called the attention of the public with musical contests, being here where I have to mention that it was thanks to this that I was able to get my ticket. I remember that the theme of the contest was very simple: the person would call, and they would randomly play a song by Eddy Herrera. If you guessed the name of the song you automatically won a ticket.

With the experience of the last concert, this time we left earlier. The boys arrived first and the girls a few hours later. The amount of people was considerable, and although the rain was present at some point before the concert started, this did not affect the development of the show. Eddy Herrera started singing at about eleven o'clock at night, and just like in Olga's concert, the time seems to be different, and you do nothing but sing, dance and share.

The song "Como hago" was the song with which I won the contest, so when Eddy Herrera started singing it in the middle of the concert, I could easily say that this song paid for my ticket 😂. That night was also one of the concerts in which Eddy Herrera invited singer Liz, with whom he performed some songs as a duet.

The experience of being at a concert is priceless. If you've already lived it, you surely want to do it again, and if you haven't, you keep longing for that special moment to come soon. Sometimes I see recorded concerts of Ricardo Arjona, Laura Pausini, Alejandro Sanz or Marco Antonio Solis, and the emotions stand out non-stop, so being at one of their concerts must be something from another planet, so to speak. I have always thought that a concert is the closest connection there is between the singer and his audience, and it is very nice when each part is delivered in a special way, each one doing his part and giving life to an unforgettable experience.
