🎵 “Improvisation in E” (Original) - Live Music for Hive Open Mic 166
Hive Open Mic ( #openmic ) is a global community celebrating live music on Hive. Each week is a new event, encouraging musicians to share songs with an international audience.
In the Hive Open Mic community, we practice various forms of creative expression. Some of us express light language. Whether we're carrying an old religious hymn, or an original song from the heart, we bring love and light. It streams through the message, the melody, and the frequency.
Today I'm studying frequency. To me, frequency is a subtle vibration, or feeling, or impulse. Frequency is Energy, Flow, and Presence. When we're present with a frequency, we may experience resonance, dissonance, or neutrality. When we carry a frequency, we can either hold it in silence or we can amplify it by vocalizing and verbalizing.
Years ago, I asked one of my teachers, "Where does music come from?" He answered by telling me that it all comes from the same place: Source Energy. This is what we're tuning into when we hold a frequency. This is the subtle essence that we substantiate through the songs we sing.
Source Energy is always here. If we are quiet enough to listen, then it speaks to us, and if we are willing to give it a voice, it speaks through us. In the same way, if we close our eyes and envision it, then we can make it into a visionary image on a canvas, or bring it to form. In this way, each of us expands upon Creation.
It is an honor to be an artist. Some of us find it burdensome at times, as we're all familiar with the "starving artist" programming. To be honest, I almost gave up in recent months. I got caught up in the whirlwind of striving and hustling to earn a living, because my videography business slowed to the point of a standstill. Happy to say my costs are covered today. I'm grateful for the spaciousness that comes by Grace, allowing me to create. This is where I'm coming from as I express myself.

Feeling that hug, thank you. Sending hugs to the two of you, with lots of love. Yes, I'm happy to say things are feeling good in my world these days. I've had a challenging couple of months, and those challenges served their purpose, presenting opportunities to grow up, and grow strong, and grow closer to my kin. Feels like I'm finding my authentic self again, after some wavering. Ah, a breath of fresh air.
What really amazes me here is how much melodies you were able to create just from humming and strumming the guitar. I was like, "just imagine how much more great stuff he would do if he did more than this"... its a maximum respect frome me to you...

I love how you summarize in a very powerful way the sequence: frequency-tune-action from something as sublime as music. I think that this first semester of the year has been accelerated and very complex for all of us since the frequency that reigns is very dissonant due to external variables that are conditioning and testing us.
Your video is the perfect exemplification of what you write, the energy of the source is always manifested in you and you transmit us the sensation of your peace and inner wisdom; each word that accompanies your melody, are affirmations that come from a spirit that knows the dynamics of the search for fulfillment in a demanding world in the superficial but that rarely dares to explore beyond what is seen, felt, heard, thought and done... Yes, I feel that too. Sometimes it feels like the whole entire world as we know it is spinning extra fast, as if it's shaking loose all of the unnecessary surface residue by centrifugal force. Something colossal like that, causing shifts. Yes, and I'm sure that frequency of dissonance shows up in our daily lives if we amplify it. Sometimes, I think it is necessary to burn that energy, and maybe that's the purpose of Rock music: release! And other times, when the frequency is resonant, we can bring it in and recharge.
