Hey there, Welcome to Hive Brian,
Good to have another musician on Hive. Check out the #hiveopenmic there is a weekly sharing there and a great place to meet other musicians.
My highest advice here on hive is to stick with it. Persistence posting and engaging with others is key.
I spent months with 0 traction. But i never cared because I was posting for myself mostly. To me the healthiest way to think about Hive is that it is a digital diary that I retain control and ownership over.
Facebook and tic tock will never give a dime to everyday users and will only mine their data.
Every nickel earned here is a nickel more than the corporate social media world will ever give you. And nobody can ever take your account away because you broke some rule.
So like I say. Stick to it and you will have a history stored on the blockchain forever, yours and yours alone….,and eventually users break through the low retention threshold and get noticed.
Wishing you luck on your hive journey. Feel free to reach out whenever. 😎

Thanks for the support - I'll try - at the present time it is proving difficult to find time - too much going on/wrong etc etc! So you are a muso. What do you play?

Yeah, im in a band called KALDERA. I'm the singer/lyricist. I dabble with keyboard a bit.
I'm sorry to hear things aren't going so well currently for you. Hope it all turns around in time.
#hiveopenmic is every week and low pressure, so when and if you have time, the music sharing will still be happening there. Good music shares are always appreciated!
