COME IN LOVE
Recently i have shared mostly about traveling around with the family and haven’t shared as much about my creative aspirations. Some may or may not know that im in a band called KALDERA.
We spent some time in the studio during 2024. Our 11 song album is nearly finished. All the tracks have been recorded. Now we are in the mixing and agreeing phase. Then we have to equalize and master.
I’m going to share a track that the entire band all feel is sounding really good and ready for the final mastering.
Have a listen and let me know what you think. It has been a rewarding experience creating this music. Music business is a tricky biz. Hard to break out. While i think our music is really good, i have no real idea how to get it out there.
For me, the true Joy has come from the process of creating it. So i guess if it never really gets heard by many, it doesn’t take away from the value it brings to life to be involved in a creative process.

I’m not really sure what community is best for original music. If you know a more appropriate community… please do share. I’d like to keep sharing tracks from our first album as we get them in a ready to listen form, so if someone is aware of a community for original music recordings….lmk

Yes, that is me singing and my lyrics.
It’s true, in general our band is really tight. The bassist is a perfectionist and we go over and over the tunes… in the recording studio it got pretty obsessive. They would adjust things and I can honestly say I couldn’t hear any change. 🫣

and yeh, I made this community when they first made communities a thing, but I never tried to do anything with it. I think it would be a good home for original music and performance stuff in general so feel free to use it.... the vibes community is more for the weekly challenge isnt it, and for strictly live performance maybe? super active though. there used to be a place called TUNZ or something maybe? They were going for NFT music minting I think. Not really sure what else is about these days. It would be nice to have a community which just celebrates original music....maybe even songwriting specifically but who knows if it would get much activity

Yeah, id say a music community would get activity if it had upvotes getting doled out, funny that how a community tends to be active when there is an upvote fairy connected to it! lol, im just talking out my butt.. im sure there are some communities that do ok and dont have an upvote fairy.🧚♀️🧐

Yeah Im kind of surprised I havnt felt more inspired to post recently...especially as I had a pretty good time out there in Split. But such is the way. I dont like to force these things.

Oh man I had forgotten about your music, you haven't posted or talked about it in ages. It's incredible you have nearly completed a full album, that's some effort. It's great that you are this passionate about your music and want to make something of it. I really admired what you and your band are doing.
Come In Love is up there with the best as far as I am concerned. I could easily listen to that on the radio and think I was listening to Smashing Pumpkins or something similar. Gorgeous guitar strings being played in this song, I'm getting a Nirvana feel also.
You have a powerful singing voice dude, you've definitely got a singer's voice there's no doubt about it. You're also hitting all sorts of notes with your voice, you can go from smooth to rough easily.
I'm actually trying to think of a criticism because I don't want you to think I'm just ass kissing or something but your musical prowess is something to talk about.

Oh man, you make me blush...lol such kind words. I'm glad you liked it so much! Yeah im proud of this tune.. i feel good about sharing it and its not so heavy so even someone like my mom likes it. Several of the our other tunes get heavy, so not as palatable for all tastes. I wish i knew a way to get this track heard by the right ears, as i too think it would play on the radio and peeps wouldn't turn it off.
