元気 Gen ki is a really weird word. Deep word.
It has two kanji, when one should be all that is needed, if it just meant "i'm fine"
It is really about energy, and how is the flow of your life. And the health of your body is a large part of that.

These all kind of remind me that the folk revival I am into now isn’t new, this is just a new wave, there was definitely a lot of it going on in the 70’s. Another awesome example is Akiko Yano whose first album is flawless, not all folk revival but definitely present!
