Three Tune Tuesday - Storm Warnings
Hello Hive music lovers!
I'm back for another exciting #threetunetuesday !
As some of you will know the UK has been battered by several storms over the last few days, namely storms Isha & Jocelyn. I still have no idea how the met office goes about naming these but that is what they are called apparently. 😜
As the weather often dictates my mood and listening preferences I'll be sticking with that theme for this week's selection of bangers.
Here we go...
1. Megadeth - Tornado of Souls
Rust in Peace - 1990
First up we've got my all time favourite thrash band, Megadeth. This track is from their 1990 classic album 'Rust in Peace'. The track features a typically exceptional swirling guitar solo from frontman Dave Mustaine, that perfectly represent why this guy is viewed as a true god in the metal community.

2. Killswitch Engage - Eye of the Storm
As Daylight Dies - 2006
Next we have an absolute banger from metalcore poster boys, Killswitch Engage. This is one of many great tracks during Howard Jones' era as frontman before the eventual return of the original vocalist Jesse Leach. It's extremely rare that a band can have more than one lead vocalist and still have them be viewed as equals, however Killswitch's Jones has stood the test of time with his incredible range and powerful delivery.

3. Crowbar - I Am The Storm
The Serpent Only Lies - 2016
Lastly we have the Kings of New Orleans, Louisiana...the mighty Crowbar! You may be able to tell from that intro that this is a band that I have a massive soft spot for. The band is fronted by the godfather of Sludge and one of the greatest riff masters in the game, Mr Kirk Windstein! The band continue to operate under their mantra of 'none heavier' and 'tune low, play slow'. Needless to say Kirk whips up an absolute tempest in this one, please enjoy!
