Heavy Doses and A Respite (TTT 175)
Hello music lovers! It is TTT today and I am quite excited for this one. Did I tell you I was a big fan of Rap and EDM? No? Well, I am, and I have quite the playlist too. Cannot share them all at once though, so I will take my time with it. I will share today some of them.
In case you are wondering, this is the Three Tunes Tuesday initiative started by @ablaze and this is the 175th week. Three Tunes Tuesday or TTT for short, is happens every Tuesday where you get to show us three tunes you like a lot. Let us get started shall we?
Eminem ft. Rihanna – Love The Way You Lie
This is my favourite rap. It is raw and deals with a lot of toxicity we face in relationships today. These things are not always talked about and respect to the real ones who do not brush it under the rug.
Has over 2 Billion views! Songs like this deserve that attention honestly. Eminem is one of the few artists I respect and that is because he bares his heart out in his music. We see the truth of the world too. For a song over a decade ago to still have this much impact, it says a lot.
NF – How Could You Leave Us
I have @deraaa to thank for this one. When I popped up that I loved Eminem and she screamed her love for the first song above, she asked if I heard this one and shared a link.
It hit hard. So hard. It was raw, very naked and no sugarcoating. The artists that are so ‘fucked up’ always deliver the most beautiful part of art in music. I am not big on lyrics but mostly how the songs make me feel. This is very…daunting.
Gareth Emery – Long Way Home
Now unto something more light hearted. I listen to a lot of EDM, and this one is up there right with my favourites. Quite the tune, huh? Energetic and fun to work to.
