FEEL, feel the music, a great mini concert
My collegue’s daughter is in a band. She does the music academy in Holland and she had a mini concert tonight. Her mum was so proud and said why don’t you join us with your husband to see the concert.
The concert was near Rotterdam in a small venue. It was half hour drive, and started at 20.00. The older kids watched the younger ones, that way we were free to join them at the concert.
The fact that they are in a band is also something the school promotes and the revenues from these mini concerts go to equipment and music instruments.
We went there and were pleasantly surprised. There were many people and the singing was great. She is only 16 but what a voice!
We stayed three hours and had a blast!
It is great to see a young lady to go after her dream. Singing is what she does best.
On to the next time and musical evening.
She made me think about Avril Levigne. She sang pink rock, ballads and pop. Very diverse. The band was two base players, a a keyboardist and a drummer. Here are some more pictures.

Hi @brittandjosie glad you had a nice and different time. It's wonderful parents who support their children in their ideas. Especially in adolescence which is for some kids a complex stage where they are defining their path and tendencies. That is valuable for this girl, it strengthens her confidence and self-esteem. As you say, she is a powerful voice, all the more reason to support her.

I love going to a concert from time to time, it disconnects me from the professional hues and brings me back to the reality of existence, in the same way that writing does, only that instead of you being the protagonist on this occasion it is another person.
