The Human Air Raid Siren speaks Truth
I have been in a funk recently and it tends to affect things I do. If I am thrown out of rhythm it gets very hard for me to get a thing done. This post I am writing is one of the efforts I am putting to try making efforts towards doing actions fairly regularly.
While I have been reflecting on this I chanced upon an old (~2 yrs back) interview of Bruce Dickinson with Next Level Soul podcast. Now this man is a true polyglot, doing a million things, and all of them with skin in the game.
As can be expected the interview was fine. Bruce was working on a film around the concert in Sarajevo and I guess this interview was lined up around that activity. However, leaving all of that aside the main reason for remembering that podcast is what he said about doing stuff. He shared a very cool story of when he was a kid trying to win with an old go-kart. It was such an old kart that he did not see any utility in his racing. However, his father highlighted that all he wants Bruce to do is complete the races. There is much more to it, but I found that very topical for my state of mind. Like the entire universe is conspiring to help me :)
The overall interview was a gem for Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maidens. But even non-fans should check it out as they might find a lot of value from Bruce's experience in and out of his music life. Every time I listen to him I am amazed at such an eloquent and level-headed person he is.

I can empathise with the funk! I’ve been trying to work myself out of it these past few years. It has been a slow process! Will listen to the interview when I walk the dog in a bit!
