Merry Christmas to one and all.
Though not a Christian the story of Jesus Christ is close to my heart. If all of us could forgive and love as Jesus could we could create heaven on this blue planet of ours. Alas, mankind is not yet ready!

As a child, my favorite Christmas carol was Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I found the idea of a person who is outside the group and is still picked for an important task to be inspirational.
My next favorite was The Drummer Boy. The pure beauty of a gift of love that does not need money or power to make it special - what a beautiful tale. Every time I hear it I spill a tear or two.
My favorite one for Christmas day itself is the ever-beautiful "Silent Night" What a beautiful song, how well it conveys the milestone, and how soft and comforting it is, so atypical for the birth of a King.
A decade ago I tried my hand at the song with my better half taking on the vocal duties. So here's our rendering of Silent Night for everyone!
