Very nice! I grew up new and even lived in the town where they got their name. They threw a dart at a map and it landed on Bay City, MI. They had a special spot for the rollers in the old museum there when I was a kid.

Yeah pretty much and mentioned Michigan Sugar Company with associated odours from processing sugarbeats. Then the Saginaw River and Bay have been designated as an "Area of Concern" by the EPA due to contaminated sediments which can lead to unpleasant smells, especially during low water levels or certain weather conditions, A bit more about past industrial activity as well.
