I kind of understand what you are saying. We have a lot of great inland lakes in Michigan, but every now and then I need to just get my eyes on one of the Great Lakes that surround the state. In fact, this past weekend we drove a bit out of our way just so I could take a peek at Lake Michigan.

Oh yes, the lakes are so big though they are kind of like the ocean. You have to be careful of rip currents and things like that.
Wow that's impressive:O would love.to go someday. Though gotta say, i like my waters undisturbed and peaceful:)
They can be kind of peaceful sometimes... :)

Just a really big lake. We have three of them like that surrounding us.
