Have you ever gotten one of those mass emails where it didn't fully fill in the name so it literally says Dear insert name here, I throw those away immediately!

Oh yes, I get those.... they are really annoying!
On our marketing emails, I refuse to use those name options to "personalise" the emails... they are obviously mass emails anyway, and I find it fake to use the names and pretend that they are otherwise. I will usually write, Dear Apeiron-followers instead.
Smart move! I've gotta believe with AI it can't be that hard to pull out the lines where there is no name listed to avoid stuff like that...
I think it is just more about the writers actually not giving a crap...
