CHRISTMAS MOON
The moon was almost full at Christmas. I don't know if this is a rare or regular occurrence. It caught my attention, that's for sure.

The moon is posing above the Christmas lights that cover one of the buildings in the center of Medulin in this opening shot.

Medulin is my hometown. I live there, and since for various reasons I don't travel much, the place appears often in these posts I'm hooked on publishing here on Hive.
It's a fairly colorful little town, especially at Christmas, but it doesn't look too bad in black & white either.
The above photograph shows a good chunk of Medulin's main square.

This is the Church of the Mother of God of Health, my favorite among the buildings that border the main square.

The Church of the Mother of God of Health is an old little church with the oldest of its elements dating from the 15th century but the stained-glass artwork on its front facade is only a few decades old.

After watching the moon for a while, this piece of sacral art framed in a circle, looked like another moon to me. Seeing that thing in a new way was a surprisingly exciting experience.

I was walking back home after visiting a friend that lives on the opposite end of town when the almost - full moon inspired me to take these photographs on the main square, less than a hundred meters from my neiberhood.
Sometimes I feel like there's nothing new I can photograph in this small town after living here my whole life.
I'm glad to be proven wrong about that relatively often.
And that's it. Let's stop this thing.

Yes. I also like the moon very much. I have seen it so many times, but is always interesting and spectacular. It gives me the feeling of being in the Universe more than any other celestial body visible to the naked eye in the sky.

Yes, for the moon one needs a strong zoom. Mobile phones usually don't have that ... but probably soon they will. 😃

Well, I like gods in stories and mythology but I'm not much into believing. 😃 I believe in all and none. I don't care about any kind of God in my everyday life. But maybe some of those gods care about me after all becouse I'm doing relatively well currently. 😃 I mean, it could be worse. I lived through worse.
I don't know, maybe I'll start believing in the great Crypto Savior if some of the shitcoins I'm invested in pump hard.

The decorative lights on the building are very interesting
In my home town, I also experienced a full moon and it was exciting for me as it was for you. Exciting in the sense that it was like a 'first time' for me, after a very long time and I have the holiday to thank for it. I observed the luminous orb embedded in the dark clouds of the night, very beautiful I tell you.
Your home town has beauty at every point, I love small towns because you become so familiar with lots of things that becomes an integral part of you.
