Gail Ann Dorsey was the bassist for David Bowie's band, and is a renowned session musician. She has also worked with Lenny Kravitz, Tears For Fears, Ani DiFranco, Seal, among others, in addition to having her own solo material.
I recently discovered her teaming up with Matthieu Chedid, also known simply as 'M', and it is precisely with him that she performs this Bowie classic. I hope you enjoy it.
Gail Ann Dorsey fue la bajista de la banda de David Bowie, y es una reconocida trayectoria como música de sesión. Ha trabajado también con Lenny Kravitz, Tears For Fears, Ani DiFranco, Seal,entre otros, además de tener su propio material como solista.
Recientemente la he descubierto haciendo mancuerna con Matthieu Chedid, también conocido simplemente como 'M', y es precisamente con él con quien interpreta este clásico de Bowie. Espero lo disfruten.

Kings of Convenience is a Norwegian duet formed by Erlend Øye, who also has a very interesting and prolific solo career, and Eirik Glambek Bøe. The interesting thing about their sound is that it is entirely acoustic, and supported almost exclusively by acoustic guitars.
Armed with so few ingredients, but with a great compositional and interpretative quality, Kings of Convenience has made an important name for itself in the indie scene, becoming a reference of the genre. On this occasion we can see them accompanied, apparently in an improvised way, by another indie reference, nothing more and nothing less than the singer Feist.
Kings of Convenience es un dueto noruego integrado por Erlend Øye, que tiene además una muy interesante y prolífica carrera en solitario, y Eirik Glambek Bøe. Lo interesante de su sonido es que es enteramente acústico, y soportado casi exclusivamente por guitarras acústicas.
Armados de tan pocos ingredientes, pero con una gran calidad compositiva e interpretativa, Kings of Convenience se ha hecho de un importante nombre en la escena indie, convirtiéndose en un referente del género. En esta ocasión podemos verlos acompañados, al parecer de manera improvisada, por otro referente indie, nada más y nada menos que la cantante Feist.
Band of Horses - No One´s Gonna Love You

It is difficult to define the musical style of Band of Horses, although we can consider that they have a very American and indie sound. Critics often compare them to another band that is difficult to classify, and just as good, My Morning Jacket.
Something I really like about this band is their acoustic arrangements, and how with very little, and their own particular stamp, they manage to transmit a lot on stage. This song, which is also one of my favorites, is good proof of that.
Es difícil definir el estilo musical de Band of Horses, aunque podemos considerar que tienen un sonido muy americano, e indie. Los críticos suelen compararlos con otra banda difícil de clasificar, e igual de buena, My Morning Jacket.
Algo que me gusta mucho de esta banda son sus arreglos acústicos, y como con muy poco, y un sello propio muy particular, logran transmitir mucho en el escenario. Este tema, que es además de mi favoritos, es buena prueba de ello.
Radiohead - All I Need

It's hard to say anything about Radiohead that hasn't already been said. It's one of rock's historic bands, plain and simple. The complexity of their music is widely recognized, and part of their personal stamp.
Seeing them live is always surprising, because that is where it is easier to appreciate how they build their sound, and how each one adds to what is a unique and unmistakable sound, and few recordings like those of From the Basement, to really be able to do so.
Es difícil decir algo de Radiohead que no hay sido dicho ya. Es una de las bandas históricas del rock, así de simple. La complejidad de su música es ampliamente reconocida, y parte de su sello personal.
Verlos en vivo siempre sorprende, porque es ahí donde más fácilmente se aprecia como construyen su sonido, y como cada uno suma a lo que es un sonido único e inconfundible, y pocas grabaciones como las de From the Basement, para realmente poder hacerlo.
