Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 37 || Review of WADE IN THE WATER BY @danielkuye
Hello everyone I'm glad to find myself here again. This time around I'm doing a review of @danielkuye entry "WADE IN THE WATER"
Wade in the Water” is often categorized as a spiritual or gospel song, but its roots delve deep into the heart of African American history. Originating during the era of slavery, this song actually served as a beacon of hope and a covert signal amongst enslaved individuals seeking freedom.
Its first known publication was in 1901, but its inception dates back to a much earlier time, woven into the fabric of the African American experience.
The Fisk Jubilee Singers, a group of talented vocalists from Fisk University, played a pivotal role in introducing “Wade in the Water” to a broader audience.
Their renditions were not merely performances but heartfelt representations of a painful yet resilient history.
The group’s contribution actually extended beyond music, they were cultural ambassadors, using their voices to paint a picture of their heritage and struggles.
The above entry belongs to @danielkuye
There’s something about listening to @danielkuye entry that actually got me in the feels, no lies Daniel have been an amazing brother of mine right from on set.
Daniel truly got a special voice which actually stood out for him in his entry. He sang with a lot of feeling and passion. He made his entry enjoyable to listen to.
His guitar skill is also impressive, as he plays the acoustic with ease and precision. He's a talented musician who puts his heart into his music, and it's clear that he's dedicated to his craft.
Daniel's entry is worth listening to, and he's definitely someone to watch out for in week 37 competition.
I hope the Judges put him into consideration.
