Songs evoke emotions, sometimes the silence of words is enough while the musical notes take shape and life, however, there can also be a poem that accompanies the message... like this one:

The Veil of Sorrow

Softly falls the twilight rain,
Threading grief through veins of pain.
Clouds bend low in ashen hue,
Winds forget the skies they knew.

Shadows hum a solemn tune,
Carried by a weeping moon.
Candles flicker, bowed in grace,
Dreams dissolve without a trace.

Steps once danced now barely stir,
Memories blur where voices were.
Time retreats, a closing gate,
Whispers touch the hands of fate.

Light retreats behind the mist,
Not with wrath, but sorrow kissed.
And in that hush, so vast, so wide,
Even longing dares to hide.

Let the stillness gently bind
What remains of heart and mind
In the hush where sorrow stays,
Peace may bloom in unseen ways.

The arrangements, edition and interpretation of the composition Lacrimosa by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are my own work, not that of artificial intelligence.
