New $MUSIC Burn Tokenomics And Post Promotion Service

We are here to try and spice some things up for the music community on Hive by bringing our lovely community not only a new service, but also some updated tokenomics for our $MUSIC token at the same time.

Enter BlockTunes Promotion Service

In an effort to better serve the musicians in the greater Hive community and beyond, as well as an effort to build more value in our native $MUSIC token, we are bringing you our new promotion service!

We are expanding our efforts beyond Hive to the major social media outlets, and eventually want to do some paid marketing, but that will come in time when we build more revenue through services, releases, etc.

You can now promote your music post on our BlockTunes front end using the $MUSIC token! What this does is add your post to the promoted section and tags the post making it more visible to users. It will also get our attention and we will promote your post, not only here on Hive through our upcoming weekly community update posts and InLeo Threads, but also on our Web2 social media accounts like Twitter/X and Facebook. This effort can also bring more eyes on our little web 3 music home!

Promoting Burns $MUSIC Tokens

Using the promote feature on the BlockTunes front end not only gets your post promoted, but it will also burn the tokens that you used to promote it! That means that you are not actually paying us to promote your post, you are helping make the $MUSIC token a deflationary asset!

Burning these tokens takes them out of circulation for good! This means that there will be less $MUSIC tokens to go around in the future! Not only does it burn the tokens, but it give another use case for the token itself, making it actually usable whereas other tokens have really no use cases!

BTUNES Tokenomics Coming Soon

In addition to the $MUSIC token update, we are working on putting the BTUNES token to work in some kind of fashion. The idea is to use it similar to the new tokenomics of the HiveCommerce (COM) token from @hivelist. The idea is to change up our delegation rewards from earning the $MUSIC token, to earning the $BTUNES token. Our plan is to build up our posting and curation rewards and payout $BTUNES holders with a portion of our rewards, paid in SWAP.HIVE. The one thing we are figuring out is how to avoid using the staking function and allow users to just hold the BTUNES token. This would avoid us having to cough up 1000 BEE tokens to allow staking. So we are working on getting that built up one way or the other. Just wanted you all to know that is coming!

There are already a few people who hold $BTUNES tokens, which were dropped to cover their holding from the early days of our DAO on Binance Smart Chain with the original BTUNES token. This will finally give those users some rewards for supporting our project in the beginning.

Hopefully this effort will not only bring more value to the Hive music community, but to our project overall. We made the decision to leave the other chains behind in our efforts to support this awesome Web 3 ecosystem, so hopefully we can get more eyes in our direction!
