Die Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche mitten in Berlin ist ein sehenswertes und imposantes Gebäude. Von der eigentlichen Kirche stehen nur noch Ruinen als Mahnmal an die Folgen des Krieges. Zudem fand hier auch der schreckliche Anschlag auf den Weihnachtsmarkt in Berlin statt. Neben der ursprünglichen Kirche wurde eine neue Kirche errichtet, die unbedingt einen Besuch wert ist, wenn man mal in Berlin ist. Wenn man von dem hektischen Treiben der Stadt genug hat, kann man hier die Ruhe und schöne Atmosphäre dieser Kirche genießen.

Es finden dort nicht nur Gottesdienste statt, sondern die Kirche wird auch öfters für verschiedene Konzerte genutzt. Auch dafür ist dieser Raum sehr gut geeignet und bietet ein ganz besonderes Ambiente.

Gestern fand dort ein Konzert des Orchesters aus Oranienburg statt. Eine Nachbarin von mir spielt in diesem Orchester Saxophon und so habe ich die Gelegenheit genutzt, mir dieses Orchester in einer ganz besonderen Umgebung anzuhören. Es war ein sehr schöner Nachmittag mit guter, abwechslungsreicher Musik und humoristischen Einlagen.
