A Day For The Musically Inclined.
Music is wonders. Apart from the regular or general meaning of music, I think it should be called wonders because of what it does to us. I know so many people form to be hard girl and guys and they pretend not to be emotional. Well, that’s part of life but music will put you on some kind of emotions that you can never hide. That has happened to me several times and I can always testify. It happened today as well which is the reason why I’d be writing in this community.
I was at my shop this afternoon. I have been listening to the songs my neighbor at the shop has been playing while I was attending to my cutomers. I was able to flow with all those songs but the song stopped at some point and I became sad because I loved all the songs I was hearing.
After a short while, the music started playing back and it was Whitney Houston’s “I will always love you”. I screamed. All my customers were actually surprised that I had a special likeness for this song. I jumped up even though my sister was making my hair at that moment. I jumped up to sing along to the song. I held my purse and hugged it so tightly while playing the song.
I kept sanging until he switched the song. Right here, everyone knows that I am musically inclined and I’m not just going to play Nigerian songs but be versatile with my songs. To my surprise, my neighbor at shop is musically inclined too. There were some songs he played today that I haven’t even heard before in my entire life and I loved them so much.
Whenever he plays a song that I am not familiar with, I on my Shazam application to search for that sound.
I loved this one too. I love H.E.R and I discovered her after Wizkid released his Made In Lagos album and she did so well with the song. I’m happy to discover this song from her again as well.
Dolly Parton’s Jolene is also one of the songs he played. It’s just so funny that I know all of these great artistes but I rarely listen to their songs. I think that’s the part where I messed up because I feel I’m not versatile enough but I’m happy about these songs I discovered. Truly, they may be old songs but I enjoyed them.
I discovered “Lovin you” by Shanice. This time, it isn’t just the song I discovered but discovered the artiste herself and she’s really amazing. I think I need to say thank you to myself for giving listening ears to the songs he played and I so much enjoyed them.
That’s about today’s episode of me listening to music. Point of view, your neighbors may have good songs to share with you. Listen to them and if you’ve got too, share with your friends.
Music is life!
I do agree on the "Wonder" part. Music is just especially awesome. Your neighbor nailed it with Whitney s music, and yeah... listening in did make your day, so that's incredible.
