Indeed a tree cannot make a forest. You are right, there are songs that are way below the bar but you see them being played in every corner all because of how strategic their marketing team are in publicity for the songs. These days it just seems people do not sing any more for the passion of it. Music seems to be financially driven now so much so that its essence is lost.
