Valley Echo Rock Fest - Day 2

Valley Echo Rock Fest - Day 2, 27.07.2024

Valley Echo Rock Fest is i could now probably say an annual event (4. year happening) in outskirts of Padina. It started after the lockdowns because bands were eager to play live, people wanted to hang out and it was an opportunity for some young local bands to perform on a stage.

The first year all 6 bands were from Padina (a place of probably around 4k people) and it was a one day event.

Second year it was a two day event. And the festival got its official name. Day One 2022, Day Two 2022

Last year it was a 3 day event Valley Echo Rock Fest - Day Two. Same is planed for this year.

You can check out Day One Here

Taking pictures at concerts has always seemed to me something incredible, as well as difficult, but without a doubt with beautiful results!

concert photography really depends on the lights on the stage. they could be challenging.

The look on their faces shows how much passion they put while plying the instruments
You took very clear and beautiful pictures
Well done!

Concert photography is great. I've been thinking about trying it one day but I haven't gotten around to it yet. You got some great shots here @bil.prag friend!

the best one to start is probably a smaller local events, you usually get more freedom to go around your business and test things out. but also could be harder because the lightning tends to be worse :)

I'll try it out at a local event, maybe I'll get some good shots. Thanks for the suggestions :)

Concert photos are one of my favorites... these look amazing, the colors and the composition is very interesting. Excellent, congratulations.

It is usually fun because something is happening all the time :) but also challenging because you have 0 control of what is happening :)

Thanks

I totally agree with you... you have to enjoy the moment without being attached to a specific result.

Oh I love doing gig photography, although I do dread the thought of carrying the 70-200 around with me nowadays 😅
This was a great selection and love the way the second image came out, and escaping from the dread of the red lights!

This was a smaller stage and i did have access to be close so the range was from 16 to 85mm, nothing crazy heavy, but all primes so it sucks changing lenses :)

i generally hate those led spotlights (maybe the cheap ones) as they tend to burn crazy on the middle. Day two was purple day :)

Ah perfect lens range, my daily runner is the 16-85, although its not a quick lens it is sharp.

And totally with you on the spotlights, I've had to bin photos that are pure blue or red in colour, at least purple has nice effects to the colour!

16-85 sounds like a nice everyday everywhere lens. even f5.6 does not sound that bad with never cameras (iso can go quite high). i was stuck in the dark places low f-stop less money, so ended up with a number of primes. sucks on photo walks 😂

I personally enjoy watching live performances, things don't look good on video, but when we go there and see, all these people work so hard to make songs and it's great to hear.
